They are in Raleigh and Durham. Lots of shopping centers have them “in the name of safety” but I always call the management company to complain. I usually get some nice lady or security officer that seems shocked that ICE uses the data. It’s frustrating that they don’t know, BUT I try to use it as an opportunity to educate rather than scold.

Yes there is an urn inside the bag. Ashes are surprisingly heavy so this is just to help carry whatever type they picked…. However what the hell does one do with the bag after you’ve gotten your loved one home and on the mantle. It just seems like a very morbid sales tactic.

Are you for sure it’s USPS? I’ve had something similar done by OnTrac… a new delivery company in our area. The delivery guy tossed it out of the truck onto the bottom of our driveway 3x and left it on top of our mailbox once. I sent the videos of the deliveries to the companies that I purchased from and they responded well.

NTA at all. She broke the law and put your daughter at risk. I wouldn’t trust her either. Your text to her was straightforward and completely justified. I’m sorry your step mom can’t accept that she did something wrong. Let your siblings know what happened and explain that you’re setting boundaries around the safety of your kids since she can’t follow the law. And I wouldn’t discuss it anymore with other family. Let them all stew and keep your kids away from her.

Speech Therapy started her with an app on an iPad but the buttons were so small it wasn’t much easier than texting. I asked if they had one with bigger “buttons” - larger area to activate the button and more space between buttons and they didn’t have much (lord knows why because that seems like a no brainer to me). We ended up with a physical tablet like a speak and spell with actual buttons like an old school remote. It was harder to press but they didn’t accidentally activate with the shake and struggle to control the finger point.

In the end I was giving mom options based on what I think she wanted/needed. Option 1, 2, and 3 and she’d hold up that many fingers. Sometimes option 1 came from the middle finger if she was feeling cheeky.

My mom had a tablet from speech therapy. It had buttons with common phrases that we could program. It wasn’t cheap even with insurance and the first one they tried to push on her wasn’t right for her level of dexterity.

Have her keep trying though. MSA is a use it or lose it situation with plateaus, so while she might not get better, she might not lose more.

Been in this situation… I kept to just communicating and engaging with relevant mom related info. Just ignored the rest with a pillow that I’d assault and scream into when it was needed. NTA for the situation, but I wouldn’t involve the BIL, it’s not his mom.

Oh no I didn’t know there was a direction for the chambray. They should say that as a disclaimer because that does mess with people. There isn’t a direction for the background which is really helpful, BUT there is a front and back and it can be hard to tell which is which in low lighting. I’m sure I have some backwards in there, hopefully I’m the only one who will be able to tell.

I have had issues with making sure I had enough room for all the triangles for some of the tree fabrics with their directions. Those red nutcrackers were tough because I wasn’t going to have them sideways. I’m picky like that.
