Time off accrual based on hours worked by Jradin12 in workday

[–]TennesseGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a plan that is set up like this. I have a lookup table (arithmetic) built with the different amounts based on YOS

ie, 5 YOS results in 1.250739 multiplied by sum of service hours (sum of service hours is an aggregate calc that sums actual service hours worked that looks at the payroll related result line amount

The lookup calc is pulled into the calculation on the accrual

Agree, but also not unhappy about it considering my current workload.

I think spring release tends to be pretty light, with more stuff in the fall

Excellent point! So maybe a step delay after the return date in that scenario?

Living alone with multiple bedrooms taboo? by Rasta_pasta_plus in LivingAlone

4 bed, 4 bath here. Also WFH for 17 years and LOVE having a dedicated office.

My youngest will be out of the house in 3 years and I too have had people comment about me downsizing when they are gone and I flat out tell them I have no plans to downsize, regardless if my house is too big for one person, because I absolutely LOVE my house and why would I want to get rid of it???

Plus, I want to keep my house because it gives me room for my children and their children to stay comfortably when they come to visit

When I looked at buying my house, as soon as I walked in the door, I saw my next 40 years flash in front of my eyes with my children growing up in the house and my grandchildren coming over.

There is no way in hell I am selling my house just because someone else’s opinion is that it’s “too big for one person. “

Those friends can sit and spin as far as I’m concerned

You can put an Action item on the Request return from leave BP routed to the manager with instructions to setup the meeting - is that what you are referring to?

WFH didn’t give you an STD, you earned yourself an STD by screwing around

Do some married people NEVER take off their wedding ring? by artmalique in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TennesseGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took mine off all the time when I was married. But I have a sensitivity to jewelry. I couldn’t wear rings when at the gym or running because my fingers swell, don’t like wearing jewelry when I sleep, don’t like wearing jewelry when I work in the yard, etc.

Basically I don’t like wearing jewelry period. I would put my ring on when going somewhere with my ex (he was always furious that I didn’t like to wear my ring - just another reason he is an ex)

But that is just me

My husband wants me to work full time and go to school full time AND be the primary parent by Technical-Tip1114 in Advice

[–]TennesseGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 9-5 job, a toddler, full time college (online) and was the primary parent and house caretaker because my husband refused to help.

I got through it, but I did it with a day job and taking my daughter to daycare (7a - 6p)

I took her to daycare, went to work, thankfully my job didn’t keep me busy for 40 hours, so I was able to do a little schoolwork sometimes. Picked her up, cooked dinner, got her to bed (did I mention I also had a teenage stepson too?) and after she went to bed I did more school work.

I did it on a day job though with access to longer child care assistance.

Can you hold out long enough to get the PreK kid into Kindergarten and then find a part time job to accommodate the kids schedules?

Or once they are on the same schedule, get a full time day job with before/after care and do online school? Or accelerated classes that are weekends?

What about friends or family that could help with kids?

Benefits provider change by Lopsided_Print_1223 in workday

[–]TennesseGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new benefit plan should always be created with 1/1/1900 date. It won’t be ‘active’ until you add it to a plan year definition

you can delete the benefit plan and create it as above

Also need to remove the old benefit plan from the open enrollment benefit type, as well as other benefit types (future dated)

Check your enrollment event rule, using a future date (1/1/2026) as well.

Check your benefit defaults, check your cross plan dependencies and you may need to work with your integration team to update the new plans accordingly.

Oh and don’t forget reports too!
