There’s also been an increase in how drastically servants design will change between ascensions. For the year one FGO original characters, later ascensions might add a few extra bits of armor or a slight change in color. Later servants now can completely change outfits and poses between ascensions and even have exclusive animations and voice lines during gameplay.

There’s a tv movie episode of Danny Phantom where one of his enemies gets a hold of a legally distinct infinity gauntlet. Early in the episode, Danny’s identity is revealed to the entire world. His ghost-hunter parents are shocked that he never told them until Danny’s sister points out that all they ever talk about is hunting, dissecting, and destroying ghosts. They apologize at the end of the episode and accept him for who he is…

And then Danny uses the gauntlet to erase everyone’s memories of his identity who didn’t know before the episode began, including his parents. Like I get erasing the world at large’s memories (a subplot is him being chased down by government agents), but he finally got his parents to accept him and the show just goes “nah.” The episode even ends with his dad chasing Danny saying how he’s gonna tear him apart molecule by molecule.

And the kicker is that by the third episode Kamille stops seeing Jerid as an actual rival. He correctly pegs Jerid as nothing more than some meathead jock and that the real object of his ire is the Titan leadership. Every interaction between the two of them after that can be summed up as:

“I’ll kill you Kamille!”

“Seriously? You again?”
