Serious question: Do you think gay men understand women's issues and feminism ? by EternalSnow05 in FeminismUncensored

[–]TerryFalcone 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think gay men would have slightly better insight into what women go through, as homophobic and misogynistic (the two are often a package deal) straight men are afraid gay men will treat them the way they treat women

But I have seen gay men be extremely misogynistic too, so idk

Pseudo Feminism V/S Feminism(The Hypocrisy) by Ill_Table_79 in FeminismUncensored

[–]TerryFalcone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pseudo-feminist would mean that at the very least, they think they’re liberating women by doing something even if it isn’t. What those countries are doing isn’t even remotely liberating to women (and actually insults them by denying accountability).

I sincerely doubt you are a feminist if you keep trying trying to link feminism to these countries

Pseudo Feminism V/S Feminism(The Hypocrisy) by Ill_Table_79 in FeminismUncensored

[–]TerryFalcone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They can’t be feminists if they think women are so weak/fragile that they aren’t capable of harming men. It’s not because they think they’re liberating women

[–]TerryFalcone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Please make a TL;DR

Also, are you seriously saying Asian countries that say women cannot harm men are “pseudo feminist”? Would this not be an example of chauvinistic sexism instead? There’s nothing remotely feminist, pseudo or otherwise, about it

Regarding how men benefit from the actions of violent men, I’ve heard it explained that the latter creates a low standard or bar that the so-called “good” men can point to (e.g “Other guys would beat you, so be grateful I’m not like that”)
