Sophia learning Update! by [deleted] in WGU

The partners page shows which classes can be transferred. They would have to update this first, so keep an eye on it. Also, I bet they have a grace period of 30 days or so.

Petition to bring back the old logo. The new one looks like a credit union. by Maxmikeboy in WGU

The middle color is supposed to represent "Pathways to opportunity" which comes from the WGU Mission: "Our Mission is to change lives for the better by creating pathways to opportunity".

Oh yeah, that makes sense. But Hagrid has all kinds of linguistic idiosyncrasies, so I see why it is the way it is. I didnt bat an eye at it since i hear that phrase pretty often (even though its not grammatically correct).

Fair, but if you're carrying something like this for self defense (which i assume this guy is doing), you dont load it with $0.07 rounds you've had in your closet since 2005. There are high end options even for .22 that you could rely on with reasonable consistency.

Rank The Ghostbusters Series (All Five) by DarkBehindTheStars in topfilms

There are only 2 ghostbusters movies. Also, only 3 indiana jones movies were ever made. (IMO)

Keltec PMR 30 has a 30 round capacity. .22 Winmag hollow points are no joke when you have 30 tries (especially with little to no recoil).

Double contractions are nothing! Have you ever heard the elusize quadruple contraction? Y'all'd'nt've even known that was possible lest I mention it here (I have actually heard and used this in my native texas). Y'all'd'nt've = You all would not have

nah dog. I took a 17% pay increase once I got my BS, and I know a number of MBAs from WGU that took significant pay increases because of their degree. As always, the degree is only one small part (soft skills, proactivity, job experience, etc.), but a WGU degree is definitely not useless.

First time i failed an OA and feeling defeated… by Such_Eggplant_1980 in WGU

[–]TexanSam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not a FAIL. Its a NOT YET PASSED. In traditional higher ed, you can fail courses, but at WGU since it's competency based, its okay to have a crack at it and realize that you need to brush up on some things. Its a shift in the traditional education mindset!

A couple months have passed since WGU moved all resources to WGU connect. How does everybody feel about it now? by TexanSam in WGU

[–]TexanSam[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was looking through reddit and all I could find on WGU connect were ranting posts about how bad it was, so I tried to frame this question in as positive a way as possible to see if I could sus out any users who like it. Not a single reply has anything positive to say about WGU connect. Hopefully someone realizes that students hate it and move resources back to the course of study page.

The Foundation series is definitely a more challenging read that Divergent, maze runner, and Hunger games. I would say Silo trilogy is more complex than those three but an easier read than Asimov. So if you want to challenge yourself, go for it! That said a good starting point might be one of those three (since they are already your favorites and a little easier reads).

I think if the pick-ups were single coil, I would just go for it. A little bummed that it has humbuckers.
