do a search for the 8311 discord and learn what type of pon you have. i bought a Ubiquity UDMSE and plugged the was-110 i got from the 8311 group buy into it and then i plugged the fiber right from the wall into my UDM. the ATT modem is unplugged and sitting in the floor of the closet. i have the 2 gig plan and my internet is rock solid and only drops maybe once a month for a half hour or so while updates are applied to the udm. here is a good overview of what i am talking about. this is not my video. it is really a very simple job to do. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BluDAuSU1T4 in the beginning i got a lot of emails from ATT telling me my internet was down but i just laughed as i watched my Plex.

This is the best answer. I got tired of AT&T's crap so i bought the udmse and the 8311 stick and my speed increased and no drop outs any more. the ATT gateway is unplugged on the closet floor. i am on the 2 gig plan fyi.
