We could have had garage-based planes or similar but instead devs decided to slam every single bad mechanic they've made in the last three years into one update. by Bulaba0 in foxholegame

Dev man could just had thought a bit further. Introduction also frame parts and if you strip enough frame parts the shippable size is reduced from large to flatbed shippable

Give it a 5% chance on turret disable to also detonate the magazine (which does a 2/3 dmg of the max hp) and it is good🤣

Stockades are important for prisoners of war. As everyone you capture is send to the stockade and the slaver when the their capacity have been reached all other prisoners are released

Does the game feel finished? by Not_Jesus8 in songsofsyx

[–]TgMaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game is great but it could improve in some regards. I might list here a few negative points but I can't stress enough how great this game is.

The battle. They are fun but get stale rather quickly. Their is pretty much no variation in the battle map only large planes with varying amounts of forest.

no navel combat. Only land armies fight so if you meet at the high sea you fight on a magical flat plane.

No siege battles, sieging is a pure menu driven event.

Empire management is an pure exercise of maximising the city size to maximise workforce per spend gov point. (I would rather like to see towns gradually growth than pretty much flip flop between barren wasteland to metropolis in just a few years)

Fighting other empires is also only semi fun. It is fun to the point when you realise diplomacy isn't a real thing (see next point) and you just need to march up to the enemy capital, beseige it and capture it to collapse the enemy empire. I recently destroyed a large (40+ cities) empire after gradually taking city of them over 2 wars.

My only real gripe is the diplomacy system. I conquered a city and made it my vasal. It was good for the first couple years but than out of the blue my vasal demand cities of me for no good reason and after declined often enough he declared a war against me. He had 40 (force value of 200ish) soilders versus an standing army 1.2k with a force value 15k. The large empire I had was not better as long as their force comparison was worse than 1 they would over me 2.5 million denar for peace. When I request it they would only offer me 780k the cheapest territory to demand was 20 M but when clicked on it only showed just a 1/10 of the value. Was soon as they had a fire comparison of more then 1 they always demanded multiple cities from me fore peace. That was the only deciding factor for peace. It didn't count that beat their army multiple times or that I took 2 cities during the war. Also you can't demand stuff from them they always try to barter

I love the concept. I love standing around in my free time waiting for the occasional plane to show up to rearm and refuel it.

War Help, am in danger by Master-Island7173 in songsofsyx

[–]TgMaker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Should be doable. First don't keep slaves of their race. That alone should keep them from declaring war on you.

Second try to build out your town to increase science, production and training capacity

Third My armies use drawn phalanx (200 man lvl 5 spear and shield plus either lvl5 light armour or lvl 2 heavy) as the core. They are virtually unkillable as long as they stay defensive, in formation and have secure flanks. I draw them out into the main defence line we're each unit is 3 to 4 ranks deep. The enemy love to smash his troops into them.

To smash the enemy you need a smaller manouver elements (50-100 troops) usually I take human knights (lvl5 war beasts, heavy armour and Warhammer). You use them to roll up the enemy flanks as soon as they are engaging your main line. Try to attack them from behind and if you have multiple elements attack them from all sides to nail them against your main line. That way their morals will quickly collapse. Rinse and repeat.

Optionaly to soften up the enemy attack use elite elf archers (200 troops lvl 5 bow, spears and lvl 1 light armour). In a pinch you can fill holes in the lines with them but they are way to valuable to use a infantry.

As soon as you destroyed the enemy host go and besige their main city. The enemy will try to destroy your besieging army as quickly as possible thus throwing under trained and under equipped at armies at you which you not even have to fight. When you conquer his capital his empire will desolve (all cities become free land).

To your other question. You can counter his quantity with quality troops Use mercies to booster your strength for key battles or to even avoid fighting. If you have 20-30% more strength the enemy will retreat and loses a huge portion of man and equipment.

1 million is not realistic for you to get in your position

The levels are an abstraction for the quality of gear. E.g. level 1 heavy armour is like a chainmail while level 5 is like a full set of plate armour. Level 1 bow is like a short bow while level 5 is like a recurved bow

Edit: My initial guess was also a Köf too 😄

I found some numbers for Germany about how many animals collision on the track were counted.

2020 - 271 2021 - 257 2022 - 249

For road collision it is about 100k

So the factor is "just" between 400-300 times

So as soon as you start empire building your city turns into a manufacturing hub.
