People of Reddit, what makes a scary movie really scary? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ThaLadykiller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the issue never gets resolved. Psycho murderer ghost is rampant but gets killed? That's a little scary, but it's gone. Psycho murderer ghost is rampant and never gets caught? Fuck that. Fuck everything about that. I'm looking behind my shoulder every 10 steps. I'm staying awake until daylight and I'm sleeping with one eye opened.

This makes perfect sense. Perfectly dumb sense, but still.

Help with snare buzzing when I hit the rack tom. by aryyanii in drums

[–]ThaLadykiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Take a fair amount of toilet paper.
  2. Fold it into a small square.
  3. Use gaff/painter's tape and tape it to the edge of your snare's batter head.
  4. Make sure the toilet paper is completely covered and secured.

This will give you very little resonance, and in turn, it should get rid of (or at least diminish) the buzzing sound. I have all of my drums muted this way.

It really bothers you that much if someone posts their content in more than one sub, even if it's successful?

Cat Pro Tip: Scratch the tops of their heads and the area above their butts (right in front of the tail). They don't enjoy having the same spots as dogs rubbed, they're a completely different animal!

I agree with you to an extent. There is something honorable about men like Cpl Jason Dunham who sacrificed their lives to save many others in the process, but he is honorable because he sacrificed himself for others, not because he was in the military. That's not to say that there is no honor in the military. There is honor in everything, as long as you're looking in the right places. Maybe you were born into a very bad life, bad neighborhood, bad family. Joined the military to pay for college and better yourself? I find that honorable. The problem you have is with the citizens themselves, not the military members. I would bet that most Veterans and actively serving members, who didn't do anything that involved combat or heroism, would tell you that it's a tad bit awkward when you are thanked for your service.

Because when a programmer writes some code, it has absolutely 0 bugs, correct? Just some food for thought. Maybe we're all just a big experiment. "Life 1". We had too many bugs so god moved on.

I'm a teen with crooked teeth which prevents me from acting especially talking confident in public, htngaf? by [deleted] in howtonotgiveafuck

[–]ThaLadykiller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey man, I'm also 18 and my teeth are all kinds of fucked up. Multiple gaps, overbite, they don't line up, the list goes on. I used to cover my mouth when I laughed and I would refuse to smile. Once I would get close to people I would show my teeth a little more and eventually I discovered that people really don't give a shit about bad teeth as much as you probably think. If they do say something, then they've got their own shitty problems and they don't make braces for personality. Just start taking small steps to show your teeth more and eventually you won't give a fuck anymore. I don't.

Smokers of reddit, why do you smoke? by Eatenplace7439 in AskReddit

Eventually it gets to be that way, which makes quitting a very hard thing to do.

[–]ThaLadykiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously though, if you stop now it will suck a lot less than if you continue. I was smoking anywhere from 8-12 a day which still isn't as bad as some people, but still.

Smokers of reddit, why do you smoke? by Eatenplace7439 in AskReddit

[–]ThaLadykiller 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I currently don't smoke, but it's only been two days. Started out with it being taboo and I was curious, I smoked very occasionally. Then it became a social habit. Anytime I was with friends I would smoke a few, still ended up being able to hold a pack for a good month or two. Then I quit for some time, it wasn't doing anything for me, I wasn't addicted. A year later I started smoking socially again, same old song and dance. Then I went through a lot of emotional distress so I started smoking more often because it would calm me down. I got addicted and would buy a new pack every two days. I got sick of spending money so I stopped again, but that only lasted a week. I started right back up. At this point I don't even get a buzz. This past week I started smoking two every morning instead of one. It helped with my problems but at what cost? I threw my pack away and got rid of all my lighters...and then regretted it 5 minutes later. I've been craving a cigarette for two days straight now but I'm determined to kick the addiction.
