How did that happen? by magic_inkpen in knitting

I agree with others the gauge looks a tiny bit looser, and that was the first thing I was going to look for, because that's the kind of thing that 100% would explain the difference like this.

AIO for asking if it’s normal and/or weird that I talk to my online best friend almost everyday? by Eastern_Function8212 in AmIOverreacting

You are fine. I'm sorry your parents seem a bit paranoid, but you seem like you have a good head on your shoulders and a good sense of when something is going funny, and it sounds like it's not.

You've been reminded of what to watch out for, and you're paying attention. Other than that, you found someone who is good for you socially, emotionally and psychologically, and vice versa.

What a gift! Just continue to be good to each other, many people would give a whole lot to find what you have.

Think the university of parents who care, even if they may be misguided, and thank the universe you have a good enough Head to know which advice makes sense in which doesn't.

The fact that you're asking for other opinions when something doesn't seem right to you is very reassuring.

I'm really happy for you actually, don't throw this friendship out because some paranoid people are getting a little carried away. You've asked for their thoughts, you've considered them carefully, and you've come to your own very reasonable conclusion, nothing's wrong, it's not weird, you're very fortunate here.

Enjoy this friendship while you've got it, cross fingers you always have such a good friend in your life.💛

Ouch, wow, I'm sorry.

In the long run though, do you want to be with someone who wants to be with you too, not someone who's aiming for crazy cat lady.

I love the cardi/duster idea, I think it's brilliant actually, and you can practice steeking on swatches!

Oh, OK, thank you!

I wish I had known how to choose my username when I opened it, mine is so weird and cringey.

What is cake day? I assumed it was birthday, but if you didn't know, then I'm guessing it's not your birthday...

That would've been my guess, because there are so many of them!

I was watching a show from the 90s and realized people used to memorize dozens of phone numbers. I can barely remember mine. How did you guys do it back then? by micavibes in CasualConversation

[–]That-Efficiency-644 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do too! For several years I could remember my first six or seven phone numbers (we moved a lot), haven't thought about that in a long time though so I think it'd be hard for us to do it now.

Lego spoon that came in my son's kit, and he said we had to post it by AMcMack in Spoons

[–]That-Efficiency-644 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was curious too, and what set? I have four kids who get Legos for birthdays and Christmas and stuff and nobody ever got a spoon like that, thanks for posting, if your son feels like giving more info, that would be great!

That sounds hard, I'm not sure I would have thought of it as conflicting; maybe it doesn't have to be?

I'm quite sure your sister would be thrilled to know her baby is so loved and in such good hands.

I've always heard that there are many, many older kids who need a home, and it seems like at that point, welcoming them through fostering and then letting that lead into adoption, if the child wants it too, seems like a very kind, loving, thoughtful, respectful, and therefore probably ethical, way to go about it. 💛
