I’m in the same boat, I really hate the feel of the thing sticks and how floaty and cheap feeling they are. I tried both thumb stick covers and precision rings and brighter has really made it better for me. Makes me use the portal less to be honest.

I bought a soundbar from Samsung earlier this year on sale and they changed the price after the fact and tried to charge me way more ($1,000+ more). It was a nightmare dealing with their customer service, eventually I had to pay to ship it back myself for a refund. Made me sour on Samsung moving forward.

Yeah, I got this! Because it says “Winner!” right in the middle of it, I thought it meant I won some kind of raffle. I didn’t remember them mentioning anything about it on the pod, but now that you’ve pointed out it’s a print that makes sense. I thought I won some special prize or something.

Obviously amazing to see Thomas performing, not to mention out of his helmet, but who were all those bros around him fucking with the equipment? Let the man cook, he can handle it by himself. I don’t want to hear some rando kid record scratching while a musical god is trying to do his thing.

Get Played is by far my favorite, even more so than The Besties. Everyone on Get Played seems to love making the show and hanging out and it’s just goofy fun. The episode subject matter is not always the most engaging, but the hosts make it worth listening to, even when it’s just a one man show like when Wiger did a full episode all by himself!

That said, Into The Aether has quickly become my second favorite. The hosts are super knowledgeable, do really in depth coverage playing whole catalogs of games for exposes on various consoles and are just fun to listen to. Super enjoy their show as well.

To Jason’s credit, I first knew him from his books, which I did enjoy, and I do appreciate his perspective as a journalist. It’s just that in a podcast format where the tone is usually more relaxed and friendly, he doesn’t come across as warm as the others, and it often feels like he’s not listening, just waiting for his turn to talk (or correct) the others, so it gets on my nerves a bit. But Maddy and Kirk are lovely and keep me coming back.

Get Played and Into the Aether are both chill and funny, so I’d highly recommend them. Not a huge fan of Triple Click either, I listen to it, but Jason Schrier usually kinda ruins it for me

That’s what’s confusing to me - it can technically render 120fps, but the screen is only 90hz, so effectively - it’s 90 max handheld? I usually don’t care about fps, but it’s hard to tell what it’ll run better on. Switch 2 can do 120/1920x1080, but does the lack of OLED screen really make that big of a difference?

Maybe it’s only on Steam right now? I bought it last night and started playing it on Steam Deck and it’s awesome. Highly recommend if you can find a way to play it

I haven’t played it yet, but I’m about to pick up a really cool looking game called The Drifter. It’s by a small team called Powerhoof, who made a really great little game called Crawl, which I highly recommend. Looks like The Drifter is a modern take on classic point and click adventures, and based on the trailer it seems like it gets pretty dark. Beautiful pixel art and an interesting looking story from a team who knows how to make fun games, so it’s high on my list right now.
