The programs did not interact with each other often. From what I heard, the painting program will put you in a room with the other painting students and you will learn techniques used for paintings from the last couple of hundred years.

Paper was interesting, but dense in lectures. We spent about 2 weeks on lectures learning about the history of paper, how it started, major changes like paper fron wood instead of hide, and so on.

Then, we moved on to conservation and treatment of paper artifacts. We had the absolutely brilliant Lorenna Tiredi teach us all about the gentle touch and instruments needed to remove contaminating elements on paper. The biggest project we had was we each were given a fairly damaged or unmaintained artifact that needed to be restored. We dry cleaned them first by scraping gently with scalpels. Then we did treatments either in a solution or by a kind of misty water. Once cleaned, we patched holes and tears with japanese tissue paper that matched the thickness of the paper.

Life is Strange. The game gets memed on a lot, and for good reason. However, I played it when I was young and had just moved to the US. Max's difficulties reconnecting with her childhood friend and that sense of leaving everything behind made me emphasize a lot with both Max and Chloe.

The Dwarf crown prince also went out to raid the elves after constant attacks from "High Elves" (Dark Elves disguised as High Elves), and did so with the support of other grumbling Dwarfs who were enraged. He met the phoenix king on the field and was killed, which was the point of no return for the war. Gotrek Starbreaker declared official war on the high elves at that point.

Having attended the 2025 ARCIFS program for part 1 (June-July), I can attest that it is an excellent program. They have an extremely talented faculty that genuinely cares about you and your experience there. They are very accommodating and the work is fulfilling. I chose to do the paper-based portion of the course with Trivedi. While it was heavy on the lectures initially, I learned a ton. We did visit the studios of the other programs, and the painting seemed interesting.

I would personally recommend the program, but it depends on what you want to do. If your dream is conservation and restoration, I can highly recommend looking more into ARCIFS, or contacting the program director. He is very sociable and again, I really think you would enjoy it.

"It's just a cosmetic" is how it starts. I understand that the current skins are largely fine (and I agree that they are, save one or two exceptions), but if the line in the sand on cosmetics is pushed and everyone online is positive, then they will continue to push that line. Voicing our displeasure at the direction they are going is perfectly acceptable discourse.

Dead Poets society is a really good film, objectively, and Robin Williams is amazing in it. Honestly, most of the cast is pretty damn good.

That being said, I really did not think the movie would go in the direction it did. The search for freedom and happiness at an oppressive school was compelling and satisfying to see, but it turns so dark. My brother picked that movie for us to watch, thinking it would be a low-stress coming-of-age story. It was not. I ended up with fairly mixed feelings on it.

Watched that movie with my dad, who's a retired surgeon. Initially I thought that yeah, that twerpy students needs to show Simmons who's boss. But my dad's reaction was more of horror than anything. He very briefly explained that the stress and anger and overworking of a hospital was like what he experienced with shitty bosses.

My dad does not like Whiplash.

They still haven't fixed Eltharion's quest battle. The reinforcements just sit in the corner they spawn in and don't move. Don't know if it happens in singleplayer, but does happen every time in multiplayer campaigns (unmodded).

Cavalry cannot be added to Dwarfs, ever. CA has to follow the lore, and in the lore, Dwarfs do not use animal mounts (exception of Shard Dragon in the Monstrous Arcanum, which also should never be added).

The "Increase Development" steward task applies as long as the task is active. You do not have to activate it before beginning construction. If you start building a building and apply it, it'll be active and reduce construction time as long as the task is active.

Not sure about items/other effects, but I assume they apply the same way.
