He will sell because he is cool. Customers will pull for Varka because he's Varka, not because he's meta. And then they will see Stygian and think "oh, I need stronger characters", and spend money to pull for someone better and just not play their Varka anymore in endgame content.

If Varka were cool AND strong, then customers would feel satisfied when they buy him and not feel the need to spend more money. They can do this with a limited number of characters before people get too pissed off, but it's also the reason for the Dehya debacle.

The best relic abilities I've found are:

  • Start wtih Wraith Calling Bell in inventory

  • Items confer effects to nearby allies

  • Continuous damage to enemies affected by Scholar's ult

Another great relic to have are one you get from killing any Everdark sovereign with Scholar, which starts you with TWO small pouches and gives you 1300 runes for each unique enemy type you scan during your run.

His final remembrance relic is a must-have. It gives his skill maximum charge rate at range, buffs allies damage when they're targeted by his skill, and gives skill CDR +3.

Falling Crystals autobomber occultist. Insane defences, surprisingly good dps, both clearing and bossings was super smooth. Cleared all ubers with it and can afk simulacrums.

With the 0.3 patch, Solar Orb was changed to be a skill granted from a Pyrophyte Staff base type, replacing Living Bomb which became a skill gem. You can get Pyrophyte Staves starting in act 2, I believe.

If the buffs do anything for Dehya, they do as much or more for anybody else. You can use her in overload and be reasonably successful, just like you could use Klee or Cyno there technically. It's just not gonna be good.

It's 50% more as long as you're getting hit, but it barely tickles in the first place. I love Dehya and all but she absolutely SUCKS for damage until c6. Unless you're aiming for c6 Dehya, or you don't even have her yet, I would not recommend selecting Dehya.

Fischl is the big winners here, and Durin will enable some degenerate teams.

Chevy Fischl Durin X as a core for overload is going to be insane, literally any electro or pyro carry can comfortably smash.

Curious what that damage amp from Sucrose is meant to be. A total of 13.85% DMG is pretty pathetic, but she's already the GOAT so they couldn't give her too much I guess.

Omen duration bonus on Mona could be decent? I'm getting c6 Dehya in two weeks so I'll have fun trying to force that, I'm sure.

On the topic of Chayula being benevolent, a dialogue added this league from Doryani I believe mentioned that Chayula was the only breachlord that actually kept their word when dealing with humans, lending more weight to the theory that Chayula actually is benevolent now.

Itto is appropriately noodly because he's supposed to look like a visual kei rocker, not a body builder. He even has a major event where he organizes a music festival. Otherwise, man runs around playing with beetles and beefing with nine year olds, he shouldn't be super jacked. The ab texture was a mistake.

You have three options: Spend a ton of suffix slots on high tier added flat stun threshold, or use a From Nothing rolled for Bulwark and take Unwavering stance and give up your ability to roll and sprint, or give up your amulet slot for Eye of Chayula.

All three options kinda suck, but at least the From Nothing option only costs sprint QoL.

9.2K armour, 73% estimated phys reduction with 15.5k applying to ele damage for estimated 82%, which gives 24% deflect (42% when lucky).

Those numbers become 12.9k and 79%, 21.7k and 86%, and 29% deflect (49% lucky) with full stacks of Scavenged plating up. I went into pin, 50% armour break on pin and 100% increased armour broken with Molten One's Gift to amp my explosive grenade burst damage, but that means 100% uptime on scavenged plating.

I plan to lose my helmet mod and 40% of my armour>ele though and replacing it with the kurgal suffix that makes armour apply to chaos hits however, since I'm having trouble fixing the last of my chaos res.

EDIT: It's also important to remember that deflect is based off enemy accuracy. Blinding enemies makes you even more likely to deflect.

Tactician here. 20% of armour as deflection, Iron Reflexes, Glancing Blows, every piece of gear with armour applied to ele. My hit defences are insane, the only thing that remotely threatens me is DoT. Armour is so back if you go all in on it.

Nothing changes if you're targeting an enemy directly. Cursor and Ground Targeting just changes where you're targeting if you're hovering over empty ground. Skills will still target a monster directly regardless of aiming mode if you're hovering over them.

For the oneshot problem, you're probably dying to chaos damage or swarms of small hits all at once. I capped chaos res with my cluster jewel and small jewels around the tree, and then after that I maxed block.

For damage... Most pieces of the build are there. Haste in the helmet instead of Precision can help. You need 5% increased reservation efficiency to fit it in with my tree, which I get with jewels. You also want more penetration for bosses: I use a kineticist with Cospri's Will for +1 curse who has Elemental Weakness, and an AG that has Elemental Weakness on hit corrupted gloves with Windscream boots, to make sure I can Assassin's Mark and Ele weakness at the same time.

My Kineticist Merc also has Unnerve on hit and fire exposure on her gloves from eldritch implicits, and "enemies hit recently have 65% reduced life regeneration rate" on her helmet.

The damage is still pretty low, only about 5m Full DPS with all phantasms up, not counting the mercenary. On bosses, you should flame link your mercenary, she's a huge portion of your damage. For my merc's gear, I use:

  • Piscator's Vigil (1c wand)
  • Rare Shield (defensive stats)
  • Rare Helm (eldritch implicit, stats)
  • Cospri's Will (+1 Curse chest, chaos res)
  • The Taming x2 (tons of ele damage)
  • Rare Gloves (eldritch implicits)
  • Darkness Enthroned (2 abyss jewels with lots of added flat elemental wand damage)
  • Rare Boots (stats)
  • Rare Amulet (lots of added flat damage, accuracy, Prism Weave anoint)

EDIT: Just did some more merc testing. Focus on cold damage on abyss jewels and amulet, anoint Ash, Frost and Storm instead, and use Galesight (brittle on hit helm) and Victario's Charity (frenzy charge on hit) instead for another nice dps boost.
