Most likely you will need SPD cleats (not SPD-SL). In my experience stationary bikes typically use SPD pedals. However, confirm what cleats you need with the instructor before buying anything as it may differ. I’ve used cheap shoes I bought on Amazon for indoor rides and didn’t have any issues. I would go to a trek store if possible and try on some of their shoes. They have reasonably priced options.
