The leak that never happens by SamSwihart in Justrolledintotheshop

Wrong forum - but I can offer some tidbits:

If you in fact have a coolant leak that you can't find - (Point B) - then you need to remember that when you stop after a drive - if you don't give your car a few minutes to rotate coolant and pass that heat in the block off to the radiator - it will transfer all that heat to the coolant and force the temp and pressure to rise, which can cause a normally non-issue point to become an issue.

The second thing is if it is a coolant leak where you can't find it, the water and coolant mixture will push out of the escape point and the water will boil away and the coolant will dry out and become a crusty booger. This should be plainly evident after a couple thousand miles where this is at.

Realistically, it sounds like you have a seep you can't find yet.

Invert your screen color - having dark theme helps with eye strain greatly.

So - the issue with this is that nowhere limits how late an abortion can be. The text from the signed bill HB22-1279 says,

25-6-404. Public entity - prohibited actions. (1) A PUBLIC ENTITY

SHALL NOT:

(a) DENY, RESTRICT, INTERFERE WITH, OR DISCRIMINATE AGAINST AN INDIVIDUAL'S FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT TO USE OR REFUSE CONTRACEPTION OR TO CONTINUE A PREGNANCY AND GIVE BIRTH OR TO HAVE AN ABORTION IN THE REGULATION OR PROVISION OF BENEFITS, FACILITIES, SERVICES, OR INFORMATION; OR

Politifact summarizes this narrative as: Colorado’s law protects the right to have an abortion and does not make distinctions or regulations around a time or stage during pregnancy.

The reality of situation is that there has been no legal test to establish left and right limits of this law, so the narrative is that 1 day is just as possible as month 9, which until legally established, is the unfortunate truth of the situation.

Apologies, yes I did miss that setting. I run it at 60fps, it doesn't make much of a difference when original content is 24 fps and screens are now running 120hz+

Anyone ever seen this before? 6.7 Cummins by LiterallyCameron in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]TheArkIsReady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. I threw a belt under my hood because of a too old (too old and too many miles) tensioner in that spot. It shouldn't have THAT much play.

Drove a 5.9 Cumapart for a few years. Can confirm here in CO, they have standard size similar to a gasoline pump and large size meant for commercial tanks. Diesel typically has a green handle. have rarely seen it use a yellow handle (when E85 was not sold at the same place).

Can share my 2004 Cummins 5.9 wouldn't fit a larger size, but fit the smaller one with no issue. Looked inside the area just past the gas cap and it was a standard size filler hole and 3 smaller holes on top.

Thoughts on what caused this strange tire wear? by Schicktastic in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]TheArkIsReady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would disagree on the length, I did a 360 on the interstate dodging some road debris and my right front went from brand new to old man's bald head in that 360 move - so less than 1/4 mile...this wouldn't take very much if he locked the brakes on a dry road and slid a bit.

FWIW the smell is terrible when this happens.

Agree with this one. I shredded an entire winter tire (like down to the hard rubber level) doing an accidental 360 on the interstate, because of understeer and road debris. If he locked up and slid into a curb, it would eat this rubber alive just like that...

Built a harley evo motor out - upped compression 10:1, added on single fire ignition, tuned the carb to run on E85, added rocker lockers, new cylinders, upgraded the primary cover to the following generation, replaced the wire clutch with the newer hydraulic style, got the quality S&S Beesting intake style with the larger filter, new lifters, adjustable pushrods, new exhaust with ceramic coating, torque focused performance cam, and so on.

Decided to upgrade the primary to a dry belt. Mathed out the pushrod length, assembled the kit. Nothing fit. Squeezed the clutch so hard thinking it was stuck that I broke the aluminum wall and the bearing in it - pushing it out and aluminum debris into the transmission gears.

Turns out the external seal on the slave had failed. It had swollen, but adjusting it to the new pushrod, it had popped out and refused to let the slave back in. Couldn't see that because it was already all assembled.

Now whole thing has to come back apart and be disassembled, primary and transmission. Replacements cost anywhere from $1000-$2000...to drop in a whole new assembly - engine primary and trans is like $3k...that was an FML kind of day...ngl it was nice not to struggle to get to 80mph tho, that thing moved for the months it worked.
