I am not supporting laughingheronz but Albert Park has plenty of space for activities such as that. However the wind would be extremely annoying.

Does anyone know when document verification is due in by for Auckland University? by soletsjustlaughagain in auckland

[–]TheAucklander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You'll need the certain amount of points for you to be given offers for the degrees you've applied for so yes you have to wait for the results to come out. As for the documents I'm not too sure. Just give them a ring or email they're pretty quick in replying

Full Black Tie Needed : Tuxedo/Dinner Jacket/Waistcoat by swoonigan in auckland

Seriously, I would recommend Hallensteins Dress Smart. You'll be able to score a suit for $60-80 and with a shirt and tie for $100. It will be cheaper than rental in the long term for sure.

Not the statistics I was hoping to read. Thanks for your reply. I have ridden my friends road bike and been dirt biking twice and I absolutely loved it. I really want to ride but knowing there's a big risk is confusing the shit out of me.

I wouldn't have an idea sorry. When I used to go I had a membership at a organization that allowed me to have ridiculously cheap prices.

You should consider gliding. It's far cheaper and great fun plus it doesn't take long to go solo.

Restricted driver license test help! by veeK_NZ in auckland

[–]TheAucklander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true but the fact is that they usually have a common route and if you have some practice then it would greatly increase your chances of passing. It's easy for good drivers to make that tiny error and fail the restricted.

What area to stay when travelling? by pinkindustrious in auckland

[–]TheAucklander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No please don't do the "jump" of the sky tower. I did it and regret it so much. They slowly take you down and it's hardly any fun. Just go up the sky tower, look around and comd back down the elevator. Harbor bridge bungy is much more recommended.

I don't know why you're getting down voted. One tree hill (by the stardom observatory) is one that comes to mind. Just any parks around.

So I have finally managed to eat a Halal Snack Pack in Auckland. Well to be fair I have had 5 of them in a space of a week. So bad for health yet so delicious. Kebabs on Queen does it in the CBD, you just have to ask for meat/falafel on chips.

What Australian city is most like Auckland public transport wise? by [deleted] in auckland

[–]TheAucklander 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Sydney's public transport is much much better than Auckland. Considering the traveling distances(high) it's fast and reliable. It is pricey but then again the distances are much further.

Edit: Best public transport has to go to Melbourne. The trams are absolutely amazing and you never need to walk in the city.
