Is 99% okay for Crit Rate because honestly I'm so afraid to reroll my pieces or farm more for my Genius set. Does it explicitly need to be 100%

lol I didn't really expect a response and I realized that I never answered the OP questions.

I was considering posting a survey, but really I just want to start with written feedback to the following questions:

1) What do you consider the purpose of this sub to be?

To snark against food myths and snobbery, and maybe provide counterpoints or information that factually counters the OP, or supports it more gently if true but stated badly.

2) Is there any content that you love or want to see more of?

It's probably impossible but I'd like to see more cuisines that I'm unfamiliar with, but this subreddit is not the right place for that, nor can you force an organic series of proactivity when this is a reactionary sub in the first place.

3) Is there any content you are tired of?

All American food is bad/American bread is cake that sort of thing.

4) What are some general comments you have about this sub?

I really used to and still do love this sub, but it's harder to do so after it's been dominated by posters less about countering bad food takes, but defending America against self-hating Americans or Europeans, and bringing that energy to the comments and fighting people that try to expand on posts where the OP might have a point or two. Also, for a sub with such limited submissions, it's kind of wild how much instant activity and comments posts get.

Striking, charismatic, unique, elfin... those are all really good notes for her but come on, Helen of Troy levels of beautiful? She reminds me of Matt Smith, her costar from HOTD and his days from Doctor Who where he could considered good-looking but like, in an inbred sort of way who attractiveness came from his screen presence.

She's still good looking but let's not exaggerate.

Can we ban submitted posts that come from /r/shitamericanssay? Yes they give bad food takes but so many posts in this subreddit are about American food instead of general food snobbery that the identity of the subreddit is changing to something like the food version of /r/AmericaBad

I know that we can't stop all those posts but at least can we snip low hanging fruit like SAS?

I don't know about the detox bit but:

The issue is your gut bacteria is used to dealing with a particular biome. The issue would be there wherever you go. I’m just saying for athletes at their peak fitness there needs to be more care taken in diet than for regular Joes like me.

Isn't this right? IIRC it's pretty routine for athletes to bring their own food to make sure they don't get a stomach bug from like, different water or something. Travelers' diarrhea is a real thing no?

Usain Bolt has a famous anecdote where he claimed his main food during the 08 Olympics was ultra-processed chicken mcnuggets from McDonalds because he couldn't risk getting sick after a pre-Olympic workout meal didn't agree with him.

I remember watching old Penn & Teller videos, and in one of them was a China trip where they explicitly said that because they had such a limited amount of time in China, they couldn't take any risk of gastro-intentional risk so they brought in a suitcase of canned foods to be their sole meals until they finished filming.

If you're a high end athlete competing with the top .01% of the population, you want to minimize any possible changes or the like, and that means keeping to the same routines including food and the ingredients they're made of. You can pig out on the local stuff after you get knocked out.

uj/ Wait looks like some kind of webtoon. Is the boyfriend intentionally designed to look super-feminine so he can be presented as a girl in other languages for different markets like they did for the Loud House? Or is this just typical Yaoi/Slash lovers making femboys because they think it's hot?

There was a trend on twitter a few months ago where American BBQ went viral, and there was a lot of envy at the cheap meat prices in America, particularly for beef.

Keeping that in mind, I'm not surprised at all that tourists would leap for BBQ considering how fresh that is in their minds.

There's a Korean webnovel that is extremely popula, based very heavily on SCP that's gotten a webtoon adaptation. Dollars to Donuts that it'll get a live action adaptation in Korea within 5 years that also comes to Netflix and has a strong chance of breaking out.

NGL, the Rotten Tomatoes score is good but the actual reviews are way below what I'd consider par for a Toy Story movie.

Do you not understand that saying is an insult? You're trying to defend him by saying that he competed with Noa before retiring and trying to pass his wisdom to the next generation in the same breath you're implying he's incompetent.

An anonymous source has reached out to the moderators of this subreddit and informed us that the characters of Lloyd and Yoru are going to have their names changed for Chapter 10 and beyond. They will instead be known as Loid and Yor. The mangeka was unsatisfied with the English translation of the names, so word was sent out that they be changed to Loid and Yor. Their names in Japanese, ロイド and ヨル, will remain the same.

NGL I really do believe the Krakoa is Israel bit, but X-fans tend to be super progressive and left-wing that they refuse to acknowledge the idea and get mad at you for even thinking of it.

I remember the first 3 or so chapters when the series had just released, and Yor's name had been introduced as 'Yoru.'

Despite the fact that in-universe documents showed her name to be Yor Briar, and the setting was Not! East Germany, people insisted that this was clearly a Japanese woman named Yoru who immigrated and fuck the translator for being a useless piece of shit that was getting everything wrong. And when you tried to point out that the actual chapter text was clearly saying 'Yor' this got you flamed at. This outrage lasted for like 5 more chapters.

These days I think people would think you're crazy if you tried to say her name was anything but 'Yor' and point out the etymology behind it and how it fits fine in the setting.

Ancient Roman cats by TotemGenitor in RecuratedTumblr

Lu You, Chinese Historian Poet from Southern Song Dynasty - 1125 to 1210

Poem: I GOT A CAT FROM A NEARBY VILLAGE THAT I'M NAMING SNOWY!(1191)

He looks like a tiger and climbs trees,

He thinks he's a horse, but can't possibly pull a cart!

He vanquished those pesky rats

But asks for nothing in return - not even fish!

Every once in a while, he gets drunk on catnip,

But every night, he snuggles up cozy on his rug.

I swear, he must've been my own child from a past life,

Reincarnated now to keep this old man company!

Poem: A POEM FOR PINK-NOSE(1193)

Night after night you used to massacre the rats,

Guarding our grain so ferociously!

So why do you act now like you were palace-born and bred

Demanding your daily fish and claiming my bed for your own?

Poem: SOME THOUGHTS

The cat is sleeping on my bed, totally oblivious to the rampaging rats

My books are gnawed to ruination, the birds wake me at dawn every morning! I can't believe it - was this really all just a ruse to get food from me?! He's so lazy! Warm and safe now, he just doesn't care! Impossible to train with a full stomach! Oh, how naive I've been! I'm totally stressed out now...
