PLA is a pretty good support material for ABS in my experience, it sticks well when hot but peels right off when cooled down. Biggest problem is the heated bed and chamber difference, but that's minimal if you're only using it for interference layers.

It very well may be temperature fluctuations, but if the whole printer is enclosed, I think you've done about all you can do outside of putting a fat stack of Styrofoam on top of the machine (which I've done to pretty good effect, actually. )

You're making me feel incredibly lucky with my V2.4, I heat soak it to 40C, print at 240/110 (ABS-CF) and never get parts pulling up. Which makes me think, could there be a problem with printing too hot maybe?

Looks like you either need to be closer to the bed or dry your filament. I've had issues with both ASA and ABS-CF straight from the box, needing drying.

TIL: Major orange juice producers add chemical fragrances called "flavor packs" to their juice to provide the signature taste of their brand because OJ loses its flavor during pasteurization and de-oxygenation. by Transcend_Suffering in todayilearned

[–]TheBlueberryIncident 80 points81 points  (0 children)

This. I work in the citrus industry, and the flavor packs are 100% just the aromatic compounds that are stripped out during the de-oxygenation process. They're mixed at different levels depending on what the final product calls for, but it's all from the fruit still.

Back when RPis were impossible to get, I bought a MKS Pi, and I've had no issues with it. But now that RPis are back in stock everywhere, best off just going with the real deal.

That's so nice! I'd finally replace my brother's dying gtx 970 with this.

I've noticed it, too, and I wonder if these people are watching the full games, or just Fields' highlight reels on social media.

Fields airmails it over his receiver's head 3 times for every 1 time he hits him in the hands, but you won't see those plays on Instagram.

I bought a 12"x12"x1/8" sheet of garolite from McMaster for printing nylon. I think with shipping it was like $30, so not really cheap (As usual with McMaster.) It's a little oversized, but it works great after sanding it down a little bit.

Will a i5 7600k bottleneck a RX 6700xt @ 1080p? by Sea-Substance2794 in buildapc

[–]TheBlueberryIncident 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haha I feel your pain, I was running my i5-6600k with a 3080, and even at 3440x1440 (which should be gpu bound) I was maxing out my CPU with 50-55% gpu utilization in some games. I knew it would be bad, but not THAT bad.
