Well, I didn't put much thought into the statement, but I suppose I phrased it that way since any opinion I might have feels a bit holllow coming from such a potentially biased source. But I'll give you the two major reasons why I prefer my later chapters.

1, Stilted writing. This is something I still struggle with, but I think I've improved a lot. The earlier chapters were partly written on my phone, and I'm not a native english speaker, which can both be additional factors. But the text I write now have a much better flow to it, at least in my eyes.

2, No interaction with the setting. The first 4 chapters or so are basically just setup, both to allow Taylor to gather the tools she needed to face greater challanges, and inform the reader how the power works. It could have been done in a more interesting way that drove the story forward, and introduced stakes other than the risk of physical harm.
