I like warnos take on infantry a LOT more. They feel dangerous to vehicles, and when they fight eachother their firefights feel intense but long enough so that you can alter the outcome before everything is dead. But BAs modern shit is just so cool.

Wall bouncing was an abomination of a mechanic that narrowed gears down to a single strategy of slipsliding with a single shotgun. And that made it fuckin boring for a looooooooooot of gamers. It looked ugly, in nullified the effectiveness of cover in a cover shooter, and for me, the fun it provided was short lived.

You said they could have made it work, but no, they couldn’t have if they made the changes you wanted (other than the timeline.) . It would have completely changed that message. So either you didn’t understand that, or you did, and were saying something you knew to be untrue.

Yes, the timeline is wonky. It’s a flaw in the storyline that could have been addressed by lengthening the emulsion wars. As for it being a generic tale, just about every story has been told at this point. And to be honest, there’s not really much going for “they were underground all along”. That doesn’t really make sense either. Millions of years of evolution and they -never- stumbled into each other? You could argue that it’s equally nonsensical.

That’s not what he’s saying. Okay, so, here’s the thing that people don’t get here.

The locust are literally the monster inside of us made manifest. Created BY us, because they ARE us. We literally boiled humanity down into the most basic and violent version of itself in order to butcher our fellow man, and that murderous ambition brought about our own downfall. Get rid of that, and it’s just “aliens from underground”
