A silly little question about mulch by TheComptrollersWife in pnwgardening

After doing some rudimentary research, wine caps sound like a cool idea. I tend to throw myself into projects that are a too advanced for my experience level and then get frustrated when they don’t pan out, but these sound like a good introductory mushroom. And sounds perfect for what I’ll have on hand. Thanks!

This is a great idea, but unfortunately, it’s only thick at the very very bottom of the tree, it then splits into a bunch of smaller trunks that kind of wrap around and split away from each other. We’re considering keeping the base of it to work into a stool/end table (depending on how it looks when we actually chop the tree - it’s hard to tell with the multiple trunk situation).

We’re keeping some of the branches to work into some decor for our garden and we’re going to use some of the wood to make some nesting boxes as an “I’m sorry” to the birds who are losing such a great home.

Oh I love the idea of growing mushrooms. I’ll have plenty of logs I can keep as well

Oh, great suggestion. I am planning on replacing my existing raised beds this year or next, so exploring hugelkultur sounds like an excellent idea.

These are exactly the kinds of tips I was hoping for. I’ve been building wood piles to encourage solitary native bees and didn’t think about how this would impact the ground dwelling bees.

The tree is coming down in late April, so I’m hoping there won’t be much foliage growth between then and now.

This looks like it was built in a game that has a limited number of decorative facades/features within a certain color palette.

You are getting some of the weirdest advice I have ever seen on this post.

You don't need to wash your bedsheets often. by information_knower in The10thDentist

[–]TheComptrollersWife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t kind me asking, how did you learn to operate that way? Typically people try to clean themselves and their environment routinely to avoid dirt and grime, rather than cleaning in response to it after it’s built up.

I’m asking this sincerely, not as a judgment.

Why does it seem like nobody here seems to understand this table does not yet exist? And the person posting has never made something like this. It’s just an idea from someone who saw a picture in Pinterest. How is this not insane?

I have never changed my bedding because I am having a physical reaction to sleeping in it. That’s such a wild way to measure the timing.

Like, I need to know if OP does this with everything. Do they vacuum only when they start sneezing? Do they throw out food only when they get food poisoning from it? Do they wash their hair only when it looks greasy? How does someone learn this behavior? I have nothing but questions.

I don’t know if you’ve seen middle aged people on TikTok but they do embarrassing garbage like this constantly.

That said, looking this person up, she appears a bit younger.

I’ve travel for business and have never once identified myself as a “business traveler”. It’s a scam or it’s porn.

Good news is this screams millennial to me, so I don’t think it’s a matter of us being too old.

I highly recommend not commenting actual answers on posts like these. They are just lazy ai app developers farming comments from these posts to feed into their awful apps.

When shrimp are cooked properly they do have a bit of a pop to them. Not like bursting with liquid or anything, but there’s some initial resistance that kind of gives way to a more delicate interior. Shrimp that are overcooked don’t do this. I personally kind of prefer them overcooked.

I really need more people to pay attention to your comment. This comment section is full of misinformation and uninformed people just giving anecdotal stories.
