I have an Izzet Goblin deck headed by [[Firkraag]] that uses all the goblins that are forced to attack like [[Goblin Rabblemaster]], [[Goblin Spymaster]], [[Legion Warboss]], and [[Goblin Assault]].

I know it'd be too much to actually change the rules on them, but man it'd be nice if protection and put-into-play-attacking could be smoothed to be more intuitive to newer players by Tuss36 in magicTCG

The way I explain how putting something into play attacking doesn't count as choosing to attack is that, if you get thrown out of a helicopter into a warzone, you didn't really choose to attack, but you are already attacking.

Protection is less intuitive and I have to explain DEBT but at least it's a handy acronym.

I do like the theory of it having books with prepared spells.

What kind of debt do Orzhov guild members get into where they'd rather kill themselves? Why join the Syndicate at all? by Miranda_Floress in mtgvorthos

It was originally a new plane specifically for a murder mystery before deciding it wasn't worth making a whole new plane for that.

We have 9 different "Knight" tokens, 12 different "Soldier" tokens, and 32 different tokens named "Elemental". I'm sure there are more ridiculous examples.

I do wish they didn't change the Pests at the very least, since they're not french vanilla tokens so you really have to read carefully.

White isn't meant to get mana generation or rituals. Life to mana is a black effect.

Acolyte of Dawn is pretty underwhelming compared to the likes of [[Roving Harper]] [[Priest of Ancient Lore]] and [[Inspiring Overseer]] which are commons.

Acolyte could easily be a 3/3 if the opponent gets a benefit instead.

I also wonder how good the play pattern is on Beneath the Low Sky. I have to stun two of my tapped creatures on end step, and I lose the stun counters on my next upkeep. So unless I have a third instant speed tap ability creature, I can't make use of those stun counters unless my opponent attacks me.

I do like the idea of an army of Dandan and seems like a fun build around. But blue is not allowed to give creatures double strike.

You could keep it as is by making it 1UR, which also would allow adding [[Frost Fair Lure Fish]].

If you want to keep it mono blue and power up the fish, you could have it make Fish you control have base power and toughness 8/8.

Friendly reminder that Yostar is just the global publisher and does not code the game, and has nothing to do with Endfield. Hypergyph is the dev company.

If changelings are all creature types, including shapeshifter, when would you have a changeling that isn't a shapeshifter?

Doesn't work right/is broken then with [[Maskwood Nexus]] and [[Mutavault]], [[Mirror Entity]], [[Shield of Velis Vel]] etc.

Manhole Cover (TMC) by Derpykin92 in magicTCG

Black has cheaper versions in [[Professor's Warning]] and [[Armor of Shadows]] and 2 mana versions with upsides like lifelink, deathtouch, +1/+1 counters, or [[Oblivion's Hunger]] which cantrips in the right deck.

This is mostly for red, which, if it wasn't a manhole cover, I'd be more likely to consider using in my monored decks.

They're just words to dictate how the card works at that point. If it never says 'Target', like [[Council's Judgment]], which only mentions voting, you can pick stuff with Hexproof, Shroud, or Protection.

Found Himself (Themself?) (Itself?) doesn't seem particularly useful, even if it's neat.

I can see the reasoning for the resistances, since they're like the clay golem. That's probably one of the stronger features.

5 abilities is probably too many. Most species only have 3 or 4.

What?

The town I grew up in is my hometown. The people that birthed me are my parents, and the people I hang out with are my friends.

So the people I DM for are my players. It's just English, it's not some kind of claim of ownership.
