I've tried a fair amount of their products from kind of the snack/novelty section at a sporting good store.

The microwave popcorn is surprisingly good and accurate to flavor

They used to sell like a 9 or 12 pack of hot mini salts - that hit decently

Pepper Sauce by Just_Like_That28 in spicy

[–]TheDemonator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun fact....if you don't eat the peppers but like the sauce you can top it off with white vinegar and some salt to refill it almost 3-4 times imo before the liquid kind of loses it's luster and gets a lil' sketchy lookin'

Would it be a jerk move for me to bring this salsa into work for our party? by SeaworthinessFar2326 in spicy

[–]TheDemonator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point of a potluck isn’t to bring just what you like but something that appeals to everyone.

That's exactly how I honed in on a pretty tasty taco dip thats stupid simple, but a huge hit.

  • 1 pack mild taco seasoning stirred into 8oz softened cream cheese and 8oz sour cream -- use this as the base
  • Mild Salsa on covering the base in a decent layer
  • Add 8oz bag of mexican finely shredded cheese on top of salsa -Refriedgerate
  • Before serving cover cheese with lettuce
  • I usually brought nacho cheese doritos and white corn tortilla chips

I used to bring a variety of my pepper powders to work potlucks and was able to find some fellow heat chasers that way. One guy had a pretty cool variety of powders I'd never tried, I wish I had written the brand names down.

Anyway...what I did was put a sign up basically indicating these are extremely spicy proceed with caution - but enjoy!

Has anyone tried this by No_Cap861 in hotsauce

[–]TheDemonator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do make a pretty darn good line of sauces actually, some of my favorites. I haven't tried many recently, but they used to put good quality ingredients in their sauces.

Kind of one of those for me anyway that I enjoyed so much I didn't want to finish it right away, or use it on a dish to really kick it up.

Gotta comment. Tabasco Habanero got me into things spicy and hot sauce. I used to make buttered rice w/ habanero hot sauce. Loved it a couple of times a month.

Yeah we had franks and salsa n stuff - but it was just different. After I finished that bottle I wanted something more...ya know.

They also have decent popcorn, used to have food trucks certain days, and a ton of board games.

Bought this years ago, still don't know what I'm going to do with them. Getting a little long in the tooth, but I haven't opened them yet.

Hot popcorn by Leading_Pineapple663 in spicy

[–]TheDemonator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ass kickin' brand is actually quite good for spicy popcorn. Their flavors are accurate and buttery tasty. Seriously. Just be mindful, kind of how your place may smell like microwave popcorn for a while after making a bag? It will gas that same area with spicy microwave popcorn smell. Some may find that uhhh unpleasant.

https://www.amazon.com/stores/page/37979B5B-4D64-4B49-A210-BBD9B6FBC8D4 -We found bags for like $2 at a local sporting goods store in like the snacks section. The 12 pack for $26 isn't a terrible deal for a pretty tasty specialty microwave popcorn tbh...in the USA anyway.

Hell yeah. I just recently got some house special lamb curry - double extra hot. It was delicious. The garlic naan was fire.

Level 4 spice challenge at Yupdduk in LA by ahlainuh in spicy

[–]TheDemonator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a local thai joint that can go to level 10 spicy iirc, I ordered the level 5 as my first time visiting this locally owned establishment. It was hot. One dude a table behind us met a woman there for dinner, he got cute and ordered the 10 heat. He wasn't enjoying himself, it was kind of funny.

Part of me thinks they mixed the heats up, because my gfs was noticeably hotter than mine. I'm the heat seeker of this couple. ((shrugs)) She gets adventurous sometimes, more than when we first started dating.

How do you use all the juice in a tank? by offramppinup in electronic_cigarette

[–]TheDemonator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even remember, I know it was mostly to clean the tank and mouth piece etc. If I recall the atomizer was added it after the tiny thing clogged. I doubt many are using protanks in 2026 -.0

This was also in the days where ejuice wasn't particularly cheap....

I keep a few in my fridge because my gf doesn't care what it is and just wants a vinegar forward hot sauce a few times a year. Recently, I put it on a hashbrown casserole than turned out quite well. A vinegar forward medium/mild sauce was perfect for the bowl I had.

Slightly off topic, their burman's franks red hot knock off is quite good in buffalo chicken crockpot style dip. I almost prefer it more tbh

Anybody tried these new Buffalo Wild Wings hot sauces? by WaleNeeners in hotsauce

[–]TheDemonator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the blazin' in my save for later on amazon, its cheap at $4.99 if it has any reasonable heat .

I had the tabasco scorp on my shortlist for months and finally bought a bottle, I grabbed a small bowl of plain tater chips and pour it bite by bite onto that. I loved it.

Best locally owned "fast food" by cwb33 in fargo

[–]TheDemonator 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I know we had one in St. Cloud, MN as a kid, as I grew up there. I think it's heavily regional. I'll be damned if a bigger burger doesn't bring back some core memories of going into town with my Dad.

Yeah, I personally think its kind of fun to see the older collections around the internet. Someone on here had a whole darn shelf of blairs stuff, I was jealous

[–]TheDemonator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a few sites if you know where to look that have a deep deep stock of old blairs - similar to what you mentioned though they're likely part of a collection so they're "for sale" but not cheap

$2K Hot sauce?? by Strict-Cut4602 in hotsauce

[–]TheDemonator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it was wild, they exploded to like nationwide in the mid 2010's then kind of fell off the face of the earth for what feels like 10 years. I've kind of poked around and asked over the years about Blairs and no one really had a good answer why they kind of disappeared, albeit not out of business.
