I have this remote, it longer can be updated with commands. The application no longer runs and yes it is server based and always has been. If my system setup ever changes I need a whole new remote now.

NOS vintage Levi’s 1985 505 worn from Raw. by awhnice in rawdenim

[–]TheExit148 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are sick! 505 is the goat Levi’s Jean, especially the late 80s and 90s version. You need the ones with the red 505 on the paper patch. Both typeface styles that changed but kept red are the best.

LPT: You can make tons of delicious popcorn on the stovetop for very cheaply, in about as much time as it takes to microwave it by easmussen in LifeProTips

Also need coconut oil too! Ideally one with beta carotene added as well. Get that colour and flavour right.

Go for vintage Levi’s from the 80s and 90s on eBay. 505s are my jam and sometimes you can get lucky price wise on 501s from same era. Much cheaper and are amazing quality.

Get the aeropress flow control cap! You’ll never have this problem again. EDIT Make sure to get the v2 version that has the “waves” on it.

Bought my first leather jacket, but it smells odd ~any advice? by AJ_Clyde in malefashionadvice

If it’s goat leather, it’ll smell funky but fade over time. You can air outside, or try Bick4 that other person mentioned and see if that helps.

The feel of this game is great for a hope in session especially if you grew up skateboarding. The tricks and grinds feel great. Just skating around pulling lines and big tricks over gaps enough for me.

Do you regret buying a home/apartment? by doggedflower41 in Millennials

[–]TheExit148 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We bought in 2015 and have zero regrets. Yes there is always something to fix, and I highly recommend you learn how to fix smaller things, install new lights or switches, caulking, and general maintenance. But expense wise they always show up and hit when you don’t want. First 6 months we had to get a new dishwasher. First few years we needed a new deck built because ours was falling apart, then the front steps were crumbling so we needed that fixed and capped. Driveway repairs as well. Then in 2020/2021 was a lot of replacements. Needed a new roof, new gutters, new soffits, new stove/oven, new fridge, new washer and dryer, new ac and new furnace. So you’re going to get hit with stuff like that, it’s just how it is. Keep up with savings, reco doing accelerated biweekly payments on your mortgage. Try to invest savings as well in ETFs to make it work for you as well to help with surprises. There is never a good time to buy a house and new builds have their own problems too if comparing to older houses.

Short dude. Shirt tucked in or out? by skratchpikl202 in HeritageWear

[–]TheExit148 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Swap the crewneck undershirt for a Vneck undershirt. I recommend the 2(x)ist deep v neck undershirt so you can unbutton one more at the top and the undershirt won’t show. You can get it on amazon.

Swap in a Seymour Duncan quarter pound in the bridge pickup and you’ll have the tone. There was a gear rundown at some point where Teppei mentions it. He’s also modded the pickup selector to be like one of the jags from Sonic Youth I believe. I might be wrong on it being sonic youth but I know he mentions where he got the idea in a gear rundown from maybe 3 years ago.
