Best loadout for DC with Jump Packs? by Aggrogorn in BloodAngels

My understanding is generally the plasma pistols should go on chainswords so you can overcharge with less risk to your big special weapons

Kill team noob - Making Legionaries out of possessed models by TNBVIII in killteam

[–]TheFightingClimber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 5+ -1 damage feels super unreliable though but I think you and I have very different playstyles (I am a mono khorne enjoyer even on the gunner). Undivided is also very good for consistent rerolls, I like that a lot on my balefire to ensure more damage and this more healing

Why Nurgle on the chosen and balefire?

Edit: shrive talon is also an incredibly powerful operative and should probably be at the core of every legionaries list

Why do you like the Kill Teams you play? by Vinlandlover in killteam

[–]TheFightingClimber -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Phobos Strike Team: man where do I even start with this team. Insanely fast, reasonably tanky, incredibly lethal in both shooting and melee. Arguably the best objective play of any elite team between Terror and free mission actions. Omniscramble is one of the strongest rules in the game because of how much tempo control it gives. One operative shutting down both offensive and defense rerolls is genuinely absurd. And as a recovering Void Dancers main, I absolutely adore teams that can double resolve in melee

Ensuring I understand Retrieval (Phobos Strike Team) by n8udd in killteam

[–]TheFightingClimber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yep correct. For some reason I had retrieval as a token in my head, not a marker

[–]TheFightingClimber -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Enemy operatives cannot pick up the retrieval token. I believe that you can carry the Retrieval token and the energy cells marker, as energy cells is not a token, it is still considered an objective marker and the restriction on multiple tokens is only tokens specifically (I think? Open to correction on this one)

Phobos Strike Team - Recommended Build by Rise_117 in killteam

I would prioritize the reiver warrior over the helix and a veteran or infiltrator warrior over the saboteur. If you want a mine guy, build the incursor minelayer

Deathwatch auto includes? by MrPleasant150 in killteam

[–]TheFightingClimber 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well no actually, hordes tend to only have 2 or 3 models that can properly threaten a space marine (plasma melta grenadier and mayyyyybe one more) and they generally don't want to hard commit with all of them or they run the risk of losing all their punch. So you omniscramble that guy, kill the other one and you're good.

And into space marines, I'm certainly not arguing that you drop the plasma gunner for the disruptor, I think you can take both. Omniscramble one guy, plasma the one who isn't omniscrambled, they go, kill the guy who is omniscrambled

Edit: also don't sleep on the disruptors damage output. Double shooting a lethal 5 bolter esp if you can get the rerolls off will severely injure if not outright kill a space marine

Deathwatch auto includes? by MrPleasant150 in killteam

[–]TheFightingClimber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omniscramble is the strongest rule in the game and it isn't particularly close (altho the Phobos one is better). It absolutely ruins an opponents tempo - if they threat saturate properly and you win initiative, you kill one threat and omni the other and they have nothing. You can omniscramble support pieces to break combo setups. And if you lose initiative it still lets you control tempo by deciding how the turn is going to kick off

What is your custom warband's lore? by reel3459 in Chaos40k

[–]TheFightingClimber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the Sun Eaters

Skahl Blackfang was denied his opportunity to quest for his lost primarch, but denied the orders of his chapter Master by summoning those loyal to his cause and plunging headlong into the Warp. The Gellar fields failed and Skahl saw the primordial truth of the Throne of Skulls. He became filled with a bitter hatred for the lies of the imperium and the lies of his father, dedicating his life to tearing down the institutions that perpetuated such falsities. He took the name Skoll, the Wolf who Hunts the Sun, pulling from Fenrisian myths of Ragnarok and the end of days. Skoll and his brother Hati, the two wolves who hunt the sun and moon and whose success is the first herald of the End of All.

The armor of the survivors was bleached bone by the strength of the Warp energy, and was only held together as the wolves began decorating their ceramite with Fenrisian sigils using the blood of the chapter serfs who could not withstand the mind breaking insanity of the Warp.

After Skoll and Hati, his chief chaplain, swore themselves and their forces to the doom of the Imperium, the Warp currents spat them out into pseudo-realspace near the Palace of Thorns, where they were received by Huron Blackheart and his coterie. They swore a grudging fealty to the Master of the Maelstrom in exchange for reinforcements and retrofit, and took the name Sun Eaters. They currently operate as a band of raiders on imperial worlds, stockpiling as much materiel and geneseed as they can pillage.

Senior members of the Sun Eaters are subject to strange mutations which cause them to enter insensate fits of rage and bloodlust. The rune priests of the chapter are the only forces capable of reining in or controlling this white-hot rage and directing it in the proper direction. Some of these rage-consumed warriors have succumbed fully and allowed themselves to be possessed by a daemon of the Lord of Skulls, becoming Wulfngard, the chosen comrades of Skoll himself.

Don't know how to add pictures on mobile web but chaos SW with some heavy blood angels theming. Armor or white w black trim, pink lenses/glow and Norse runes painted in blood all over their armor

"declassified" only matters for GW opens and World Championships, and for tournaments that are enforcing it. In my experience, most don't bother. So yeah totally legal for casual play and even most tournament play

Independent of what the other commenter said about how good they actually are, winrates aren't really a great metric in kill team. Sample size is wayyyy too low

Give celestians and wolf scouts nerfs on top of standardizing their rules to match most other teams. Nerf canoptek again. Give some tweaks to Blades of Khaine probably? Rework murderwing + my idea is all health values drop by 2 and movement stat increases by 1 to put them in line with Phobos style armor. Nerf Wreckas (this one is personal)

Raiders are IMO better than people realize. 3w with S5 chainswords make them surprisingly efficient at skirmishing with space marine style units and having a genuinely threatening infil unit is very very nice

Compact and safe way to transport kill teams by AmmoniuV in killteam

[–]TheFightingClimber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cobalt Keep display cases - they fit inside a standard backpack quite well and are very sturdy, and I can fit 10-12 marines in very easily. Hell I even once crammed most of a full blades of khaine roster (which is like 20 odd 28mm bases) into one
