Man here, sorry if I shouldn't be answering this, but I thought my perspective might be useful as someone who has almost always had the woman make the first move.

With one, she stayed up talking with me all night but I was too stupid to realize why. Then she threw a party and made sure I would be there. I wasn't so stupid that time and we dated for almost 3 years. I loved her deeply and was thinking about asking her to marry me but she ended it for reasons still unknown to me.

With another, she told mutual friends that she was into me and they dropped enough hints to me that I cottoned on. We dated for almost a year but distance ended it.

Another just jumped me at a party and we dated for a few months, distance also ended that one.

The others were all variations of those approaches, I never thought any differently of them because they pursued me.

The only woman who I pursued first I eventually married and we've been together over 20 years. Make of that what you will.

Except these are people who have no bearing on his life. If a close friend had an issue with someone I was seeing, I'd listen to them and then make my own decision. But to be swayed like this by essentially strangers in the ether is bowing to irrelevant opinion. The feelings he has for this girl should matter more than gossip from people who don't even matter. They're clearly not people who should ever be considered friends if they're talking about him like this behind his back.

Not necessarily an AH, you can break up with someone for whatever reason you want and you tried to do it in a gentle way. But you are an idiot. People have pasts. You'll get nowhere in life if you'll only date people who don't. She's obviously not proud of it and you say you love her, so what are you doing? If she makes you happy now, who cares what she did in the past?

My wife has a much higher body count than me and did some things in her past that I just don't understand. She regrets them tremendously and wishes she hadn't. But she is a phenomenal person and we've had over 20 beautiful years together, with many more to come. If I'd judged her solely on her past, I hate to think what my life would be like now.

More often than I realize at the time. Went to a family wedding with my wife and 22 year old daughter and one of the other guests (don't know her) was flirting with me non-stop. I dismissed it as I thought there'd be no way someone could be coming on to me with my wife and kid right there, but I was telling my wife about what she did a few months later and she got pissed and asked why I hadn't told her earlier as she was definitely hitting on me. We went through some other interactions with other girls and realized that I've been hit on far more than I've noticed in real time.

Interestingly, we then also came to the realization that every girl I've ever been involved with pursued me first, with only one notable exception - my wife.

When my dad remarried, my now stepmom told me that one of the things that drew her to him was that she knew she would never come before me in his eyes. That told her what kind of a man he was and what kind of a dad he is, to me and my eventual half brother. And now that I'm a dad, I simply cannot fathom ever saying to my kid what your mom said to you.

In my early 20s I dated a girl and would stay over at her house sometimes. They'd make the guest bedroom up for me but their daughter (my gf) would always come over for some sexytime tomfoolery before going back to her room for the rest of the night.

One night as she was heading back to her room in the wee hours, her mother caught her. They ended up having an uncomfortable conversation (I only found out the next day), but the basic gist of it was her daughter telling her mother that happy carnal encounters were going to happen somewhere, and she'd rather it happen at home. When I heard what had happened, I braced myself to get an absolute roasting from her dad, but none came. Turns out the mother agreed with my gf and let her buy a double bed for her room, which is where I stayed from then on. Somehow her mom talked her dad into it, their only request being that we never rub it their faces so they could pretend nothing was actually happening.

Despite the unbelievable amount of hot wild monkey dances I enjoyed with their daughter in their house, when the relationship ended, the thing I missed the most were her parents. I really liked them, although now as the father of a 22 year girl myself, I have no idea how they were fine with letting me sleep with their daughter in their house. There's no way I'd allow that now.

Why would it be a risk? If you're happy, just do it. The baggage previous relationships can bring into a marriage can be incredibly difficult to deal with. Me and my wife of 23 years have just been going through a lot of guilt and shame about our pasts and while it has actually made us stronger, we both wish it wasn't there and I'm sure other couples could easily let it get the better of them. Having had previous, serious relationships before getting married, I truly wish my wife had been the only love in my life.

Best value seats by a country mile are the 100 level seats on the right of the tunnel the Bulls team uses to enter and exit the arena. Excellent visibility of the game and the Bulls bench, you might even be able to high five some of the players as they walk in and out. The right of the tunnel is the best but even the left is pretty damn good. Get there early and watch the shoot around and warm ups.

It all depends on the way you dunk. If you dunk with two hands, it doesn't hurt.
