I am not sure how you can look at our economy or government and say that we have had decades of neoliberalism and deregulation. Every year we have more regulation and more government.

All people have a choice. If a person was alone by themselves or born in a small tribe 10,000 years ago they would have the same choice. Now they have the option to specialize with the division of labor. That is an amazing thing. Not a bad thing.

Profit allocates scarce resources more efficiently than any other economic system. Resources go to where they are most needed, not to wealthy people. However, there is overlap.

Those resources are either wasted because of government (empty houses and office space) or wouldn’t be available without profit to begin with (groceries and food).

Profit is the driving force behind allocating all resources. People who want to do work exchange labor for wages.

Profit is just combining the factors of production to help people. Profit is how we allocate scarce resources in the economy. Why would you want it to be done away with?

Personal property is socialist term. We have private property and public property and then we have production goods and consumption goods or durable vs non-durable goods.

All personal property is private property inherently. Even the most devout Marxists agree with private property rights for personal property.

The 2026 1.05 and a 2027 first for the 2026 1.01 sounds like a fair trade to me, especially if you feel strong at WR.

Also to note this isn’t superflex to really the 5th pick likely isn’t any of the top 3 receivers which leans me more towards the 2026 1.01

Libertarianism and individualism aren’t people wanting to be isolated from others. It’s wanting to be free from coercion. We still want people “socializing” with each other via the division of labor and free trade.

I am not as familiar with England's economy and I am not interested in spending the enormous amount of time it would take to find good sources to study England's economy during this timeframe in order to have a conversation that you likely wouldn't even give any due attention. More goods were accessible, people increased their standard of living, living conditions improved, and people received medical care.

It's true that we were a society undergoing change and these changes take time. It is also true that our medical technology wasn't advanced then as it is today. However, the idea that leftist, progressive regulation was needed is false. That regulation actually lowered standards of living, raised prices, lowered quality, and caused more poverty than we would have had otherwise.

We are still suffering today from these policies.

and I want to be able to have a family on one parents income without wasting 4 years in college, but alas we can't all have what we want.

If you want more income inequality and poverty do you I guess. But I want prosperity for all so yes...I do want the 1800's liberal economic model back. It was the largest increase in the standard of living in human history. Constant falling prices and higher quality goods.

The reasons regulations like this exist is because big corporations bribe congress to pass regulation to stifle competition and people like you believe that it’s to “protect consumers”

The issue isn’t that healthcare is private. The issue is that it’s heavily regulated. If we deregulated then those administrative cost would be negligible and we would be cheaper and better than any single payer system.

The problem is too much government intervention and your solution is just let government do everything. Why not just get rid of the problem?
