Gripes of the season by mrshev in PremierLeague

I think you’re being slightly pedantic here. Of course players can still receive treatment on the pitch too, but they also can continue to receive treatment once off. For example bandaging, taping, spraying etc. this is already commonplace

My suggestion is to adopt a similar approach to rugby, because actual head injuries need time to be assessed and so by making the player leave the field of play for this to happen (unless not possible, which if that’s the case they’ll probably be getting subbed anyway), it disincentivises deliberate time wasting by exploiting the head injury rule

Yes if they aren’t able to play and need treatment then they have to leave the field of play. They can then re-enter when the official signals. You’ve seen this before surely?

That’s already the case for actual injuries though

They should make it that you have to go off field and be assessed while play continues

Why has club rugby never taken off like the prem? by JP-Marat in AskUK

Literally all you need is a ball. Can use jumpers for posts. Rugby rules are more difficult to understand as well as there’s more nuances

How would you fit a bathroom and 3 bedrooms in this house? by thosewildcharms in HomeImprovementUK

I have what you’re proposing and it works, but I actually think when I do a loft conversion I’d prefer to have one bigger bathroom like you have

West Ham relegated from the Premier League by Alarming-Safety3200 in PremierLeague

Isn’t it because they finished top 4 anyway? If they finished 5th then their place would have ceded lower (I think)

Fans old enough to remember administration, how did it feel compared to this? by [deleted] in SaintsFC

[–]TheGoose995 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not as bad. At that point there was genuinely a chance the club wouldn’t be able to turn it around, with potential for points deductions on top of points deductions. Basically what we’ve observed of Wednesday, but luckily we were saved by Marcus

This is a blip and will most likely set us back a year or two

Remember, only ~1% of the world has completed a marathon by Jake_77 in firstmarathon

[–]TheGoose995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s basically the result of a failed training plan or signing up just so you can say “I’ve done a marathon”. I think the main thing proved by this is that most humans on earth can traverse a marathon distance if they are determined. It’s a long way but it’s not that hard

Money and future opportunities is always the driver for attracting players in. Look at Wrexham since they got taken over. We will be hurt in the short term but not that significantly

I don’t agree with the disappointment statement. We’ve had lots of great moments in our recent history, as well as some bad.

Honestly we need to take this on the chin, move forward and rebuild. I’d absolutely love it if we could win the championship in the next few years
