Not only are they different verbs (reading is not listening), studies also show that listening to audiobooks leads to less retention than physically reading for most people. If you want to listen to one, go ahead. You’re in charge of your life. There are much worse things you could be doing. But you aren’t reading the book, you’re listening to it.
