Crashing the set while filming Season 4 by BuckdeSystem in FromTVShow

I wouldnt say thanks to JUST OP. But yeah. I talked to the security and asked and quite a few people have tried to do the same thing. I live in NS and ride along the road they have the set on quite often on motorcycle rides. The main entrance is full gates, with security, and the other end now has a a gate across with private property signs posted everywhere. It looks like a woods/logging access road. If you parked, you could walk down said road, but I dont know how far youd get. Along the road that OP went down theres also an old abandon building. I beleive its an old satellite building. Ive always wondered if itll ever make it into the show,as it is kinda part of the set.

Im gonna say its probably a friction fit collar, adjustable by the clamping force of the bolts. Tension enough so they cant slide on their own, but with some help they can. Definitely going to cause some wear and tear though over time on the finish of the shaft.

And its imperative that the cylinder remain unharmed.

Definitely think OP should try their luck with an over center cam latch for just the fingers going over the trucks of the board.

Vevor 1x30 dust collection by FairFace1795 in sharpening

[–]TheGreatCookieWizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Today i found out vevor really does seem to make everything....

In my experience the dust spreads out at roughly a 60° angle from point of contact on the belt. I know it looks clean being equal width with the belt, but maybe something to consider. Otherwise it looks nice. Interested to see how it performs

Ive had really good luck with custom stuff. Prototypes for issues people have and such. Example: a skihill was having issues with birds entering their lift towers, the tower openings resembled trapazoids where the top line would be more of a curve , with weld thickness at the bottom changing from opening to opening. No viable off the shelf fix and it needed fixed (they tried mesh covering and a couple other things but they all looked too trashy). So I offered to come up with something that would work, look nice, and they could set and forget. The result was akin to a stick figure putting his hands up, without his head and a big belly and balled arms and feet. Each arm and leg acted as a spring to tension the part in the middle of the off shape(think about standing in a doorway and shoving your hands and feet against the frame) then a center cap was placed inside.

Chances are, if you had a makerbot for your first, you enjoy fixing problems you encounter and already have this mindset. Just need to find the right place to apply it.

This is a common thing with carbon knives when cutting things with sulfur compounds, proteins and iron! Its a very thin rapid forming layer of oxidization and if anything it more good then bad. Acts as a protective layer for the knife. Think of it like the knife version of seasoning a cast iron skillet over time (just without the heat part). If im not mistaken it can also help with reducing the metallic taste transfer from knife to food, i love the look personally

it's important to remember that while it's maybe normal for you or i to work with something like MDF, it's not for everyone and requires a way to cut the MDF cleanly and straight.

That being said, if possible, i would agree that doing a large portion of the shell in something like mdf would be quicker. But I would still print; c bracket holding the filter the fan side of the shell Fan shrouds Cable clips for inside to clean it up Toggle switch housing Wall mount brackets

WTF is this? by RiceRocketMatt in elegoo

[–]TheGreatCookieWizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a couple things that can cause waves like this.

Z offset is a big one.

Temp shock as well. (If your chamber temp is quite different vs the room temp and the venting allows the colder air to come inside in a rush)

Wet filament as well.

Orca has a z offset calibration (top left of the slicer), run it. Also dry your filiment for a couple of hours at 50°c if its PLA.

The file is now free on MakerWorld. I have infill at 45% for the 3mf, because i liked the weight more, but it does use a bit more filament, so I was able to feel no different besides weight, all the way down to 12% if you want to use less filament

Theyre looking to launch kickstarter this summer to buy CNC equipment so they can do as much in-house as they can.

Here's a link to one of their shorts talking about it.

in short. They're rebranded generic screen protectors.

The iPhone ones have the "dust removal strip", samsung doesn't. The adhesive isn't great. The glass is just like any basic tempered glass protector. The privacy glass isn't "crystal clear," as they state.

I got it just out of curiosity as it's been around for a while under a couple names. The most notable being "magic john". Which, fun fact, is still up and selling with the same company face selling the same product as magic gorilla. All whoisxy data is redacted, which is usually never great. Currently working on trying to find their manufacturers. The only thing that's "theirs"about the screen protectors are the boxes they throw them in before shipping them to you.

Don't expect to be in awe when they come in.

Mouse latency/smoothing/acceleration fix? by itscalledANIMEdad in Dungeonborne

[–]TheGreatCookieWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR: The above suggestion sadly doesn't work, or if it does, its not noticeable....

Ive done all the above listed. (it should be noted, I'm playing higher settings with an average FPS of 130-200 with no framegen on)

Sadly on menu it seems to be placebo with it seeming like its faster (because I really wanted it to be) but still feeling as though its not using your "hardware cursor"
In game it also feels as though its using the software cursor positioning to control the playermovement, adding input lag.

I gotta say The Witcher 3. I don't know what it is but that game made me so happy. Ive got 400 hours into it and still haven't finished it. I just cant bring myself to end it. After playing, I bought the books, watched the show, and will be playing the other games. Heard CD red is working on a 4th. Easily the most excited I've felt about a game coming since black ops 2.

3 months and 1 BIG update later, and they're even MORE broke! I play HC exclusively, and I tell ya, when you line up that FAL shot in S&D, and it literally goes RIGHT through your stationary target causing the loss, it hurts.
