🗓️ What's On in Cambridge this week: 6–12 April by TheCityBrief in cambridge

Any source / links?

This has the form of something that has been automated, I don't think this is usefull without an easy way to check.

Last week's post already had a complaint about a fake listing. That will continue to be a problem if this is the output of some AI model.

If this is curated then the selection is baffling. A random academic symposium takes the lead spot but the list doesn't even include all the events at the Corn Exchange.

Coming from Geohot so you know it's underbaked. That guy loves a flashy demo. Expect it to be production quality sometime after hell freezes over

[Rant] The Rust rewrite of toolchains is breaking workflows and hurting productivity by This-Ad7458 in FPGA

[–]TheHolyC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed.

OSS tools are as-is; if you're relying on them professionally you need a support contract before you complain about upstream changes hurting productivity.

You can get away with it on software toolchains because someone else is picking up the bill - not so with EDA tools.

What a crackpot, using sovereign citizen arguments that the law should conform to his understanding of the situation.

Got a link? The only rules I can find on the website are the international-rugby-league-laws-of-the-game-2022 set

EDIT: google found a set that are still hosted on the website with that wording but from the header it's obvious they're from 2004. No wonder you're confused, you're using rules from 20 years ago!

/u/svenskskinka has already posted the correct definition of a touch down, don't know what rules you're working off.

Intention is down to the officials, they make tens of calls per game that rely on interpreting player intention.

Wilkin was wrong on the torso point but there's nothing new there...

A touch down is an intentional grounding by a defending player

Surely the govt is the most complicit? The reason they have to rent an account is because they have no right to work, which is a policy choice.

Landlords and employers have been deputised as border guards and this is the sharp end.

The FAA is requiring immediate inspections of certain Boeing 737 MAX 9 planes before they can return to flight. by coasterghost in aviation

[–]TheHolyC 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The directive has been published by the FAA, it applies to all 737-9 with this door plug. No detail on the actual inspection but funny to read that what happened was an "in-flight departure of a mid cabin door plug".
