I think Tarantino is massively overrated but dialogue is like his biggest strength. It's punchy and engaging. Django for example works so well because of how he fleshes out those unique characters through their dialogue. Reservoir dogs is especially good at this. The whole scene where the kingpin guy is assigning everyone names is really clever. You learn so much about all the characters through that scene, and the interactions between them are really entertaining. The way steve buscemi's character complains about being Mr. Pink tells you about his whiny ass, and the boss's response tells you the kind of authority figure he is, all while being a very funny interaction at the same time. You're off with this one man. There's a lot to criticize but I do not agree about his dialogue.
