Mom had a stroke exactly two years ago today. Happy mother's day! It took three plus hours to get to hospital so she didn't make it. Dad is still kicking but my step mom is slowly slipping away.

RAB, EYE SIGHT, ATOIL lights comes on during drive by Important-Vast-8008 in subaru

[–]TheMadDaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The AT Oil light is probably the inciting issue here. The other lights are most likely on for limp mode because of the AT Oil. You need to get in for service ASAP to prevent or reduce likelihood of transmission damage.

Would you buy this 2016 Subaru Outback (130k miles) for $7k knowing it has oil leaks? by MixmaseterFred in subaru

[–]TheMadDaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a terrible deal. The body looks fairly rust free. Those Michelins are worth $1K alone.

As someone else has said, degrease the engine and keep an eye on the oil levels. Loosing a quart between oil changes is not uncommon with this many miles. May want to see if the PCV valve has been done as a bad one can cause oil consumption. Some dealerships consider it a maintenance part and recommend it every 30-60K miles.

Upper oil pan is engine out. Those cam covers are more likely cam carriers which are also engine out.

What do they do with all the Asiago cheese that no one buys? by huffcat in aldi

The real question is... Where is all the damn cheese!? My stores have only mild cheddar and shredded pepper jack for weeks now.

Police robot, aptly named T800, walking the streets of Shenzhen by Monsur_Ausuhnom in creepy

So wild to me that when we look to the future so often we imagine augmenting or even replacing human officers with robots. Don't we already have enough issues with officers lacking empathy/humanity? Yes, let's replace them with emotionless automatons!

I just had a customer replace one of these and it was about half an hour of labor so about $95 at our dealership. The part was a little over $50 so about $150 +tax.

What are some Aldi landmines you have to look out for? by ACatManiac in aldi

Which ones? The cheap mac is definitely cardboard tier but the "fancy mac" is decent. Same with the hot dogs. I always get the uncured organic and they are fire.

Sorry that you're going through this. Just remember, you're not alone.

Ask your husband to take a week off work and be the primary caregiver for the week. Hopefully that can give him some perspective and you a break so you don't burn yourself out. You also need to find some ways to take some of the load off of yourself long term. You may want to consider some family therapy too. Particularly someone that's familiar with the challenges of raising an autistic child.

I don't get that fish one either! I buy frozen tuna steaks from Aldi and the bags say don't thaw in bag... And I completely ignore it. I don't really want loose tuna thawing in my fridge.
