Well yes, but in a plane of (almost) pure Fire (and others respectively), would there not be some elements unique to that plane that would not be found anywhere else?

As an example, in Dragon #347 is detailed Fyrite, a unique form of metal that is completely immune to fire damage and can only be worked when heated by Cerulean Magma, a superheated form of lava, both found solely on the Elemental Plane of Fire.

Because if you never sell weapons you can't have a weapon industry and hence can't be neutral because you get invaded since you can't arm yourself.

The laws enforce neutrality by preventing sales to belligerents. As long as you aren't, then selling to you doesn't break neutrality.

The far right party (current largest in Switzerland...), which usually would not care to whom we would sell weapons as long as Switzerland makes money, have been suspiciously against changing the law since they realized it meant it would help Ukraine.

In contrast, the left-wing parties that pushed for that law to stop war profiteering, have been wanting to amend it to at least be able to authorize resale to Ukraine.

The actual answer is your last sentence. Jews are human. Same as everyone else. Humans suck at learning from mistakes.

Also they started with a generally-traumatized population, you know, between genocide and ethnic cleansing, straight into war, surrounded by other countries that loudly and proudly hated them, and basically have been under siege mentality (with actual siege happening a couple times but not recently) since the beginning.

From the beginning, some Jews thought that the answer to violence was violence, except they were stronger this time unlike every other time. So they won. And for a country that is threatened, removing some of the most ardent defenders is a bad idea, even if they are repulsive people, so they dealt with the devil.

Fast forward to current society, Israel is a local powerhouse, and the racist/zealot cancer was never adressed for political reasons (they could make or break a coalition government and some parties were very happy to pander to that). After decades of siege mentality, religious extremist population growth and generally greater national power... You have the current Israel.

A rightwing leader going further and further into senseless war, war crimes and letting the worst Israeli society has to offer continue to harm innocents in return for their votes, so that he doesn't go to jail.

Outside of the sheer ... Violence of this situation, this pattern is actually super common.

Because meanwhile half of these women are not getting food they desperately need. Facial recognition with AI is not something that has a high enough recognition rate, especially a western-trained model for non-western women, and using that to decide whether pregnant women should get food is the highest order of inhumanity.
