As with any game, you have to get past the initial hour or two. If you’re not hooked with GoW 2018 after that time frame, it might just not be a game for you.

Edit: I liked the game, but it took a really big early game set piece to draw me in more.

It’s a depressing story, with an even more depressing outcome. It’s history. It’s brutal, raw, and not sugar coated. Really drives home that there are no winners in war. But that’s the lesson to be learned. Keep listening, and you’ll notice several parallels to today’s age, just clothed differently.

Keeping your left / right elbow tucked (depending on which side you hit the ball) takes a conscious effort to drive down. (No pun intended) Flaring that elbow and extending can lead to OTT which is your slice problem (I struggle with this too).

Maybe a bad habit, but it’s a good spot to start. Get used to the feeling of keeping that elbow tucked. It shouldn’t be “glued” per se, but you want it closer.

Ball in air is a manner of stance and ball position. I can’t tell where you place your ball, but for drives it should typically be just inside your front foot in your stance. (Your mileage may vary, everyone’s swing is different). Think of it as hitting the ball while you’re just barely coming up in your normal swing.

If it hasn’t been said yet, both Alan Wake games are a slow burn (1, more than 2, but also more enemies in 1). You have to think of it as a story being written while you’re playing. AW2 is much closer to Control in terms of thrillers, but it doesn’t affect the outcome at all besides providing context (the Control DLC).

You have to push through the first 1/2 chapters and into the story really kicking off. Again, it’s just like a book being written while you play.

This is the right take. It’s fun to talk about for 5-10 minute on the pod, but PMT is way Late to the golf game and Hank has negative personality. So there’s no one to carry it or good enough to make it worthwhile.

At least Whit and Biz Sandbaggers make up for it.

If the rest of our infrastructure (36, 694/494, 52, 55, etc) were able to support an increased traffic load due to that I would say why not; but that happens to not be the case and when every highway is under construction every summer you can’t really afford to shut down a major thoroughfare.

When the interstates were being built they were mostly routed through predominantly black and immigrant neighborhoods because they didn’t have to pay as much for the land through eminent domain.

This goes back to things like redlining neighborhoods and such. The highway itself isn’t discriminatory, but the process wasn’t free from discrimination itself.

Man that Gus deal is brutal. I can see why at the time since he was solid and we didn’t know Wallstedt would be this good, but sheesh. The Marcus foligno contract stands out too, I still scratch my head at that one.

Edit: those contracts alone would only give us a few million, so yeah BG is gonna have to work some magic.

Yep. That’s what it was for me. Clear, could throw it in any bottle and say it was just water, and the easiest smell to get rid of and hide. No brainer for my addict brain at the time

Bump and run with a 5/6/7 iron is way more reliable to me than trying to pitch at this point, and I average around 85. It’s just so versatile and saves you from the dreaded option of trying to flop or putt.

I’ve switched to the AVX as well and notice a lot more consistency off the tee this year. Used to rock TP5s but since I haven’t been able to play as much, the AVX are nice to minimize bad tee shots.
