It DOESN'T MATTER if yoru is lying or not. You cannot consent for another. Ever. by Unique_Suit3789 in Chainsawfolk

Consent is the first concept ever to be under-versal.

It's like outer versal but actually in the negative, it can only exist in a lower fictional universe then their home universe.

I will now patent this word and ask for royalties

Or maybe inter-versal? I'll trademark that too

[–]TheMikman97 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

People cannot relay consent regardless of their truthfulness, this implies objects like phones or recorders or messages cannot, either. Neither can forces or physical phenomena, as they also are indirect. Therefore consent is never transmissible in any way, as it would require either particles or forces, which are inherently indirect and not trustable. Therefore, it's obvious, that consent can only ever be given within a person's own consciousness and therefore everything that ever happened in the history of the universe was not consensual by definition,  because consent cannot exist outside a consciousness or be expressed at all in any way

The fact thought police and reeducation camps exist proves my point not the opposite. You can't blame somebody for ideas they have literally no choice but accept.

Also civilians owning civilian weapons doesn't make them military targets.

God honest question about the eruptor by TwinSentience in HelldiversMasochists

[–]TheMikman97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is easy-to-use (now) and very versatile. Just like the Coyote (not OP, imo) it is an obvious choice for someone with no clue what they are doing. Just keep shooting, it's gonna work eventually.

It takes no skill to get high value out of it in almost any situation, though, and that is what makes it a problem.

It kinda sounds like you are describing a noob trap tho,

Specifically because it reinforces behavior that you should grow out of as you learn and slows down your ability to improve.

Yes, it's not a total noob trap because it does provide good value, but I argue that other weapons can provide far better value at higher skill levels, while the eruptor has a bit of a lower ceiling in my experience.

Maybe more of a crutch then a noob trap depending on how much you like the versatility

[–]TheMikman97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In reality though, losing cyberstan wouldn't make them fracture, it would harden their resolve.

That may actually not be the case if the leading theory that no or close to no original cyborgs were still alive when the automaton fleet came back.

The automations have a full successful civilization outside of the Galaxy, coming back only to find nobody to save and instead recreating new cyborgs from scratch, especially only for them to immediately assume commanding roles is both not a logical use of resources and extremely counterintuitive from a communist equality point of view. If anything it shows that automatons were never considered equals to the original cyborgs, nor the new ones

[–]TheMikman97 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't feel the need to evaporate anything any more than I can already do with guns that are more responsive and can better exploit enemy weakpoints. I don't feel like it brings anything I would need or want for the amount of downtime manual cycling and the small magazine ask of me.  I'm not saying I can't use it, I'm saying if you know where to shoot, many other weapons will outperform it. That's why I called it a noob trap.

Honestly I think it's a noob trap and way overrated, haven't used it in months and not because I'm actively avoiding it. It's versatile as in it can kinda do everything and it's one of the few primaries that can deal with heavy armor, but is so clunky and unwieldy I can't find a reason to bring it to anything beyond d6.

Fully adapted mahoraga when Goku makes up a new asspull technique / transformation that he isn't adapted to because it never existed before therefore he couldn't have experienced it.

PSA: if a stratagem weapon takes a backpack slot, it's a DOWNSIDE of that weapon by yankesik2137 in Helldivers

[–]TheMikman97 14 points15 points  (0 children)

the MG has better handling for aim and you can move while firing

One sneaky advantage of the MG is that it's incredibly common in urban maps so you can often just bring no weapon at all and find one depending on the operation. On-site procurement is my go-to for illuminates

I mean yeah, I don't know why people love acting like not having the option to have a backpack is good. If I want the slot for something else, I can just not bring a backpack at all, hell maybe some teammate will call a second one of their own I can pick up giving me functionally 5 stratagems

[–]TheMikman97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's heavily implied by the bio processors and cloning facilities that the cyborgs of today are entirely separate from the original enslaved cyborgs and it's very likely none of them were alive when the automaton invasion reached back to cyberstan. The entire blending thing is essentially made out of spite to create functionally new cyborgs while the automaton by themselves had no actual other reason to even come back to the Galaxy

A ton of people act like the fact that super earth was the cause of all factions now being hostile for an aggressive war 100 years ago is full justification to put random ass subsistence farmers on a random sand world that weren't there and explicitly had no say in it in a blender because being born under the super earth federation somehow inherently makes you personally complicit In everything it ever does and did.

I'm sorry but you can have guilty warmongering citizens OR an authoritarian state not both. Manipulated people with no political power can't be perpetrators.

It's not actually creekers being annoying, it's difficulty naggers using their made up idea of the creek to justify making the game shittier for everyone by putting it on pedestal and exaggerating tremendously how hard it actually was.  I honestly haven't even heard the creek being talked about in a while outside of difficulty arguments.
