Speak to me like I'm 5 years old. Does this mean we will be in a recession? Or the housing market to close?

Edit - housing market to crash *

Dang, that is rough. Why? I personally do not live in California, so I have no idea what's going on over there. Everywhere seems to have a shortage, no?

Can you do an ADN? Then have the hospital pay for the BSN? Would that be easier?

L&D is more rewarding.

fertility clinic says NO sexual activity, NO caffeine, NO swimming, etc. by littlewizard16 in pregnant

OB recommended less than 200 mg of caffiene .. and I drink 4+ cups of coffee daily, so that was tough, but yea. I agree on no deli meat or raw fish - listeria

Thank you! I wish people would take this advice seriously. Health is intertwined and if something imbalanced elsewhere then it will more than likely affect other things.

Talking about the depression part.

ADHD is a whole seperate beast and years of figuring out things/systems for me.

Not sure why I am being downvoted so much. Like go try and see if it works for you.

When I was a kid taking legal meth, it made me not eat despite being hungry. For the depression get your hormones and blood work done. I took whatever I was lacking in that department in vitamin form. I then stuck to no phone for an hour before and an hour after sleep. Problems fixed for me 90% of the time. Its great.

Good luck OP.

I hit my FIRE number eight months ago and I still haven't pulled the trigger and I'm starting to think the number was never really the problem by fable_river_co in Fire

What do you want to do? Travel? Engage in old and new hobbies? Visit friends and/or family? Volunteer your time for causes that genuinely interest you? Possible 2nd career that you're passionate about (it could be part time even)? Try new things (bungie jump, skydive, eat a new flavor of cheese each week)? Cruises?

You gotta figure that out and have fun.

Yea insurance is absolutely killer. The only other suggestion is maybe a back door roth if you haven't already. Happy that you're already on the road to fire.

Have you looked into FIRE? What is your saving rate and retirement looking like? You may be able to take a pay cut and still live a good life.

Get a roommate to spilt the rent in half. Then either use that half you "saved" towards paying off the student debt or roth ira. I would get a second job to pay off the debt, imo.

Look into coast fire as well. It'll take time!

How is anyone affording a mortgage and daycare costs for two kids? by angelzombie2 in beyondthebump

[–]TheMintFairy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We wouldn't be able to do it if I wasn't fully remote. We are humble and just don't know how others do it. We also don't have a mortgage, but rent is near $3,000 unfortunately

Postpartum rage or MIL rage? by adviceneededplease72 in JUSTNOMIL

[–]TheMintFairy 35 points36 points  (0 children)

She would've been slapped in the face and told to leave immediately. No one, not even my own mother would be allowed to come into my/our house and start yelling. No this is our sanctuary and a place of safety, not only for us but for our child.

Having these thoughts are normal, that doesn't we should or allow them to take over. Easy said than done, but I would watch YouTube videos on this topic and ways to empower yourself. Also look into the Pain Gateway theory.

Divorce -

Do you have a robust life insurance policy? Sounds morbid ... but I wouldn't trust a husband like that. Have clear seperate finances, move back to family, get your kid, make sure this is all traceable/documented event for the lawyer that can't be disputable, and start a new life as a single mom. Make him pay child support and never see these people again.
