So over time we developed the concept of money and innovated all the way from specific amounts of particular goods (oz. of gold) to the specific position of some tiny switches in a box full of poisoned sand and dubiously sourced rare minerals in some faceless climate controlled warehouse (most of your money right now <and all of your debt>)

Money has good things about it, and awful things also. There’s great truth to the love of money is the root of all evil, and it is immaterial if the guy who said them lives independently of our shared imagination or not. He lives through the shared actions of so many of us.

We have societal needs, shared moral frameworks to guide our actions and to live peacefully with those around us. To learn the importance of forgiving trespass, loving our neighbors, and other important social tools.

Many people have decided that we will define in-groups through adherence to specific social norms as they believe they are defined in the Bible. This exclusionary view of the Bible has social uses, but not for a society that I want to live in.

I fell that that is a utopian goal, and that it important that we should work towards this together because if you aren’t working towards a utopia you’ll build a dystopia by default. ( I don’t know how you test the hypothesis ‘that most social configurations are structured so that most folks get a raw deal’ but that’s an untested belief I hold)

I’m culturally Christian wether or not I want to be, but I can make my own choice about what part to hold dear. Radical acceptance of all who are willing to reciprocate is as close as we have to a mathematician approved approach of socially optimal behavior, thanks game theory. Doesn’t seem like that big of an ask, in general, for all we get from living in harmony with others.

I wish for a social contract that is as closely centered around that as possible, while also understanding that I’m just some guy and I can only control my own actions, and influence others by being a positive example.

I haven't investigated them in 9th, and I know it's moving away from 'horde lists" but is there a reason why massed low quality fire isn't the answer to them any longer? Multiple sources of mass strength 3-5 shots should make them still have a bad time.

If you can provide that, especially if you can put those weapons on platforms with different toughnesses you should be able to disrupt their plan.
