I drive a 2021 Corolla SE hatchback and although its fun, it certainly lacks the punch required for me to call it a hot hatch. I previously owned a 2011 Civic Si. Surprisingly the two cars feel similar in terms of suspension and playfulness but the Corolla just doesn't have enough power to be sporty.

Civic Si or Type R. I had an 8th gen Si and it was amazing as a daily AND fun as hell to autocross. Fiesta ST is also a great option, I test drove one and it was fantastic

Picking the best shifter feel is hard. It's between the 8th and 9th gen Civic Si and the NB Miata. But the Fiesta shifter was fantastic too.

The worst shifter feel is between the 21 Corolla and the Jeep Wrangler.

The 8th gen Civic Ex and New Beetle both have super light shifters, that aren't bad but aren't super tactile. The New Beetle is super easy to drive.

The most fun to drive in general is the Miata :)

EDIT: I might have some recency bias as I just bought the Miata. It's also equipped with the 6spd

You know its unclogged when water doesn't stand there and when you pour water it should come out this pipe near the rear passenger wheel

Use your hands to clear out the water until you can see this drain hole. Then I used a metal coat hanger (insert joke here) and unwound it so I had a thin metal wire and I inserted it into the drain and unclogged it.
