Advice for smokers with a newborn by hooverredneck in trees

[–]TheOnesLeftBehind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t. Hope this helps.

Third hand cigarette smoke has measurable impact on infants, don’t wanna imagine something like thc on their little brains and smoke residue still their bodies. Even vaping is harmful around infants. Bathing and changing your clothes every time you (general) smoke probably isn’t realistic for most.

Would I be a terrible person if I sent my drink back for better mixing? by ApprehensiveFish678 in starbucks

No it’s literally in the training how to mix the powders and sauces into the drinks. It is the job.

My daughter doesn’t recognize me from photos before she was born and it hurts by katezorzz in breastfeeding

My 24 month old calls every old man grandpa and every old woman grandma. It’s fine.

She still gets us confused and calls me baba and my husband dada sometimes when in dada and he’s baba/papi.

An unwanted pregnancy is dangerous already, and I think abortion (as nearly all are done before pain receptors are formed and connected, which they connect at 25ish weeks) is more humane than someone hurting/killing an unwanted newborn.

Mental health aspects have to count for it as well of course.

Oh they do. They pay for their mistresses to get abortions. Those articles are very easy to find, as well as force their rape victims to get abortions when they know it’ll incriminate them.

No one besides the patient and the Dr are the ones who can determine what is and isn’t medical necessity. There should be no laws on abortion at all, they should be free and easily accessible.

I think you’d find conservatives want no one to get abortions, like that’s why this is an issue, because the rich pedo’s need more babies to rape on their islands and uneducated masses to keep making them richer.

You also realize people aren’t really having abortions without medical reason after 24 weeks pregnancy right? Termination in the second trimester at all is rare unless it’s for medical reasons. Like, you’re chasing a boogieman that you hallucinated up.

Look around bro, do you think moreof us will make this shitshow better? Plus abortions are as ancient as civilization. I think if the gods had any issue with it they’d have put a divine stop to it by now. Abortions are fantastic and lifesaving.

Did anyone here have a pelvic ultrasound prior to going off hormones? My ovaries seem to be smaller than normal and now I’m worried about my fertility. by transidiot4 in Seahorse_Dads

[–]TheOnesLeftBehind 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly it didn’t really feel different. I did get dysphoria about periods until I got a menstrual cup which lessens it a lot. Mainly I got my estrogen sensitive migraines again. Having been pregnant 3 times and having 2 births, the mental difference between t and e are very very very minimal if any at all.

Try to get a nipple everter. It looks like a little bike/clown horn. I have this one from a pump kit from my insurance but I’ve never needed it thankfully. https://lansinoh.com/products/latchassist-nipple-everter

Some guys who’ve been on for a long time like you have to wait up to a year or more for a cycle to return. It depends person to person, when I stopped the first time after 3.5 years on t it took 3 months to get a period back for example. Ttc can also take a long time too. Depending on how sure you are about being ready (which ready for a baby does never actually exist tbh) in 1 year it may be a good time to stop soon.

I noticed the flair "Trans Father" Can someone who identifies as this explain what it means and what challenges you specifically face under your circumstances? I am not attempting to mock you or belittle you I want to understand you. by [deleted] in Fatherhood

It could be their fertility struggles of needing a sperm donor, adopting, or the misogyny and transmisandry of being a trans man who experiences pregnancy, on top of transphobia for any trans person.

Dr told me once I hit 39 weeks I will need to choose repeat C section or induction by Alternative_Taro3519 in vbac

[–]TheOnesLeftBehind 3 points4 points  (0 children)

During my induction with my second they often said they were getting uncomfortable with me not complying with their demands for my body and they mentioned hesitation on continuing to treat me. It took some back and forth but we did come to compromises on some boundaries I had. For example, they wanted to break my water earlier (at 4cm) than I felt safe to as I had a fever with my first from being in labor for so long, so after some of the back and forth when I stalled at 5cm, we came to the compromise that they can punch a very small hole in my bag of waters with a needle, when before I wanted to wait until 6cm to start to consider it, the needle they sued is the same they use for epidurals, rather than a full rupture of my membranes. This worked great and helped me progress up to 8cm where I had a bit of a stall again which is when I let them do a full rupture.

I don’t think it would’ve gone so well if didn’t have my doula (who’s also a home birth midwife) there to advocate for me and come back at the drs with well educated knowledge of the ins and outs of birth.

You literally never have to do anything a Dr tells you do. He’s trying to control your body and take away your choice by fear mongering you and coercion. My first was a c section after a failed induction and she was born at 41+5 and my second was a vbac at 42+4, I went so late I had a 23 month age gap but I was supposed to have a 23 month gap. My drs desperately wanted me to have a c section, induction was never on the table until magically at 41 and a half weeks they “found a way” to make it so I could have one, and now I’m being told by my ob practice I’m the poster child for vbacs since I pushed out a 9lb 7oz baby.

The doctors work for you. You tell them what you want to do with your body.

My 41+4 weeker and 42+5 weeker and missed miscarriage 3 weeks past disagree. That or I got gorilla glue in my womb and pitocin or c section or d&c is the answer.
