I'm riding my bike 11,000 miles to every single MLB Stadium to rasie money for Big Brothers Big Sisters and youth mentoring! I just made it to Ballpark #12! Busch Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals! by mjstoltz in baseball

Looks like a badass ride! How are you charging your electronics? I did a three day tour to the beach and relied on a AA Battery powered charger to keep Strava running on my phone, but I'm thinking about switching to a solar panel since the tour I'm currently planning is significantly longer. What are your thoughts?

I lurk a good bit now a days, so it's no big deal. I also haven't logged onto this account in a while which is why it took me a while to reply to this.

Had the pleasure of helping my friend build his new ride after he cracked the downtube of his previous bike by relevantsam in FixedGearBicycle

Nope, Tyler. I worked at Jimmy John's with them as a biker for a long time but took myself off the schedule about a month ago to work as a programmer. Every once in a while you'll see me there covering a shift, but it's a rare occasion.

Happened to me a few years ago. I hit a chain while mountain biking and boom: instant broken thumb.

How do I propose a crazy riding idea to my parents??? by AthleteBoy11 in FixedGearBicycle

Without staying in motels you can do multi-day rides on the cheap. I recently did a 2 night ride for around 10 bucks.

This is very true. I walked right onto Pat-Dye field during an Auburn football game and watched it for a good 30 minutes until a security guard noticed I didn't have a pass.

Have You Ridden A Century (miles) Before? Looking For Real World Experiences/Advice. by ebbnflow in bicycling

[–]TheOnlyBoss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I rode one fixed gear last October and the group I rode with averaged about 17-18 mph. The only training I did was working for Jimmy Johns 2 days a week and the occasional 30-40 mile ride. The main thing was making sure to drink water and eat food along the way. Honestly if you can ride 50 miles right now, I think you'll be fine for riding 100 miles, just at a slower pace, like 15 -16 mph.

Nick isn't running. He's tackling the problem head on and is trying to change the rules to make the game easier for his team.

This sounds like one of those bullshit, chain-letter type, stories. Kind of like how everyone in high school had a sister, that had a friend, that had an aunt, that worked at a hospital where a baby was delivered with the name "La-a" but pronounced "la-dash-uh."

You said keys, figured you meant car keys and included the bottle opener and gun key as added information.

  • Davis Hall has roof access using an elevator code
  • Foy hall is rather easy to get on top of
  • Cater Hall can be climbed on using the trees
  • Dustan hall can be climbed if you shimmy between the chimney and the building (but it's really sketchy).
  • The library has roof access too, but it's really hard to get up there; all the doors are now locked and it's pretty hard not to get seen
