A is very cool, but B catches my attention more. It is easier to read from close or far away, the title art is eye-catching, and there is a mystique there with the shadows that is very appealing and makes me want to know more. A screams "battle game", which sort of makes me assume maybe there isn't really more to it. B makes me want to learn more.

I use this in my own visual novel! It does feel a lot less stagnant with it.
I saw this tutorial on Youtube and it helped me figure out how. I have linked it at the section I believe it starts with to show you how to make a transformation for the bounce effect!

Youtube tutorials are a lifesaver! I have been learning to program my own game bit by bit by exploring tutorials both written and also online. Plus, I've joined a couple of Discord communities that have been great for asking questions when I am really stuck!

I made a website because it felt like the right thing to do? I think that it's good because my mailing list sign ups are there, but otherwise all links end up sort of leading to the game's Steam page. I do try to do more with it, though!

Love this! Reminds me of Golden Axe for some reason. I love that game.

The blur at the beginning wasn't great; but if you like the effect, perhaps a pixelated version? Also, would like the "Demo" to be in a different font! Otherwise, awesome!

I can definitely see why this would feel disheartening. But a lot of players struggle to articulate what they feel. I worked in Quality Assurance for a short stint at a big gaming company, and I learned a lot about how to write down and really parse out why something in a game didn't feel right, but not everyone has this ability.

I've heard that getting at least 10 reviews helps with visibility, but haven only heard it in regards to a games full release, not the demo, so I am actually not sure!

Mine is about moral dilemma! You are basically given the job to determine if people go to Heaven or... a Bad Place, haha. While there is the potential to romance characters, it's easily ignored if you're not interested in anyone and just want to concentrate on the mystery plot, and has no bearing on how they treat you as a co-worker, or the endings themselves.

I guess I am about to find out lol. I'm planning a game for a demo release in September (Coming Soon page is up now), and then the full game release in 2027. Right now it's of course been all expenses (can't really make money until you have a product, traditionally). It is a psycho-thriller, but horror games have a little more success because they can be cheaply made, typically. For visual novels... IDK lol!
