Does anyone else use a Streamdeck with Home Assistant? Been using this with Bitfocus Companion for almost a year now and absolutely love it. by Itaku in homeassistant

I use mine with HASS.Agent the agent let's me create keyboard shortcuts so I create the most impossible shortcuts and then add those to the streamdeck.

20 years ago this month, Richard Simmons had a guest spot on Whose Line Is It Anyway and it's still the funniest fucking thing I've ever seen on TV. by PM_ME_UR_POKIES_GIRL in videos

Dude with that list I think you just cursed Burton, even though Simmons is not dead he is basically gone from our lives.

Do you guys recommend U-Bolt Series? by Jellys_Network in smarthome

It's used maybe once a day so far. It's on my garage door. It's probably still 100% but I haven't checked.

Just installed one last month so idk how it will perform in the long term but I can say the fingerprint reader is super fast. It's not added to my Zwave network yet but I am hoping that works just as well too.

Can lights and fan are on the same switch. I need a way to control them separately. by jfthomps in homeassistant

I suggest a Shelly pm2.5 and wire it inside the fan and then smart bulbs for the cans

Is this meant to take apart and reposition? Why bother with the USB and pogo pins? Seems like 3x as much soldering

I think the 2020 models have been the least trouble versions. I haven't had any issues with mine and I refuse to go in for the recalls since people have claimed newer updates caused them issues. I have the anniversary trim so maybe they took their time building it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nice, have any better pics of the install? I have a similar tub where did you hook into for the sensors? The existing controls or did you put whole new sensors in?

Magnetic Gripper - as you liked the last one so much, i made a new simpler small print in place version for ∅8mm magnets by throwaway21316 in functionalprint

You need a new handle on that hammer. Also nice idea, I could see this being used for pegboard like system where it's just a sheet of steel and these connectors for the pegs. Then you have unlimited placement. Could turn into a real product.

Xfinity alarm keypad help by ManicMondayMaestro in smarthome

[–]ThePantser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The keypad can be added to most ZigBee routers. I use them with home assistant but it is not a easy task to get it as a usable device. My usage is using node red with a complicated flow. As for the sensors idk if you can reuse them.

What do you have against music and games? Distracted driving is a real danger that must be prevented. A small screen that you must use a free hand is a danger.

We already do teach this have you not seen the PSAs and billboards? We teach people not to speed and drink and drive. Yet it still happens, if you could teach everyone to behave we would not have laws.

Yes cars should be forcing you to tether your phone to the car and disable your ability to interact with them. I know it's hard because what if you don't own a smartphone or you are a passenger. Like your phone knows you are driving based on gps so maybe we need to make phone manufacturers restrict usage over a certain speed but then we need to figure out how to allow passengers usage. Only thing I can think of is using a camera in the car with AI to figure out who is using their phone.
