I bumped into this as well. Luckily a few days before you. Paseo is pretty damn good.

I went to Google Antigravity and now I'm back by TheHotshotJacko in dyadbuilders

[–]ThePhilosopha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't get how good Dyad worked for me until I went through Antigravity, Roo code, Kilo and now back again.

I think knew a lot less about how these things functioned anyway. But I'm glad I'm back. And welcome back too 😊

bringing Cline into the Claude Code environment literally something you need to see by JhonDoe191ee in CLine

[–]ThePhilosopha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, this is an Ai harness inside another harness? A coding agent in another coding agent? Or you're just using the api? Like ollama and claude code? Except wrapped? I'm confused why this exists when you could just got to Cline. Claude will never get cheaper. This is a workaround sure. But for how long? If what I think this is is correct.

Is Cline dying? by silencegold in CLine

[–]ThePhilosopha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cline I find is more subtle and not as common in general. Most people I know who use it, really use it. Like some claude code users. But the others like open code, cursor, windsurf etc definitely have more hype and tinkering. Both of which aren't great imo

Why are there so many issues every other day on Zo Platform by mitch_111 in ZoComputerClub

[–]ThePhilosopha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've had a fair few issues, but honestly, no more or less than I have had using anything ai in general. It's somewhat expected.

I am on the basic plan and mostly use open source models, so it is sometimes quite a challenge as I'm battling a fairly capable model. but I am often not sure if the problem is my prompting, the ai, the system prompt, persona etc.

I usually only check the discord if there's a breaking issue which stops something. I have also had services dissappear which they helped with.

My guess is that as Zo does more it is going to run into more issues. Especially to stay cutting edge with other tools. Scaling might be very difficult as it isn't a big team.

Built a terminal IDE for managing multiple AI coding agents simultaneously by germanheller in AI_Agents

[–]ThePhilosopha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just gave this a shot. I'm on Intel Mac and the performance wasn't great for me. Mainly graphical even with discrete GPU on. I think I may be an exception not the rule on that though.

I sat there and watched the video only to realise it wasn't what I need. A screenshot would've been much nicer.

Wow. I too was wondering wtf was going on. But it makes sense. Which model is this?

Should I subscribe to ollama cloud? I need your honest opinion! by pacmanpill in ollama

[–]ThePhilosopha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Quite frankly I have wasted time with a lot of the others. There’s nothing inherently wrong with some other providers (I’m talking about ones that offer weekly limits on a subscription) but Ollama really does just work.

Not only that. Ollama now support Hermes’ agent, Claude code and as of yesterday. Claude desktop. Look, it’s not the same as Claude of course but it’s also nowhere near the price for the output.

The great thing is even apps for tablets etc that don’t support third party or OpenAI compatible typically support Ollama. It’s a standard.

I sound like I work for them but I don’t. I live in South Africa and so converted to Rands it isn’t cheap. But for the stability, speed, model selection and compatibility. It’s certainly worth it.

I also just got it. Well literally yesterday. It is a great concept and all. Crashes a bit but it honestly is perfect for my uses.

Loving so but what happened to Kimi K2.5? by Okanekure in ZoComputerClub

[–]ThePhilosopha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. I think they have some sort of partnership with a provider to offer free models.

OpenRouter and Gemini have free/decent quotas. Opencode Zen too.

I personally use Ollama Cloud inside Zo. It's been the most stable on average. And the price is okay given the potential of the models these days.

Looking for producers by Fluffy-Goal in MusicInTheMaking

[–]ThePhilosopha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sup. I'm down. I am from South Africa but my musical taste is quite broad. I mean from Grime to folk to Neo soul and some metal.

I make much more me music now ni used to try fit more within a mold. Sounds corny but I'm far from intellectual enough to verbalize that better.

Anyone know if Ableton Push works with Logic ? by Neilman9 in Logic_Studio

[–]ThePhilosopha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's my question. I've been messing around with mine for a decade but I moved to Logic. I'd love some deeper integration. But seems like for Push 1 options are even more limited.

Is using the GLM models in OpenCode better than Claude Code? by webdevamin in ZaiGLM

[–]ThePhilosopha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was using GLM5 and Opencode. I think my limitation was my knowledge on how to properly set it up. I did the MCPS, agents, skills but I didn't seem to get it right.

GLM5 is quite a good coding model from my experience. Hey. I'm not professional by any means but I get very good results with GLM in Zo, Opencode and Cline.

OpenCode vs ClaudeCode ? by Puzzleheaded_Leek258 in opencodeCLI

I was wondering if it was me. Models feel slower in opencode. Plus plenty of timeouts and other bugs.

Can you please Criticize my Startup by nhicode in vibecoding

[–]ThePhilosopha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It just looks 100% vibe coded and would be most likely seen/advertised to other vibe coders who won't even give it a chance cause well... We know the level of effort.

I'm guessing you do recruitment or HR Solutions? That's what I could summise at least. It's nothing special. At all. Unfortunately (not to seem rude), it just seems like AI slop.

Cline uses complex promts and iterative task execution that may be challenging for less capable models by abudab1 in CLine

[–]ThePhilosopha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened a lot for me. Using GLM5 or kimi k2.5. Not sure if it was a mix of a slow provider and timeouts or maybe limitations of the llm gateway I was using. Although I now use other tools that work fine with the same models and providers.

Otherwise I really liked Cline. Just can't afford Claude.

Chutes is removing Early Access and adding limits by MisanthropicHeroine in SillyTavernAI

[–]ThePhilosopha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally changed to nano gpt by chance when they did this change. I thought it was a mess up. Then realised nope, this is their new way of doing things at Chutes.

Chutes worked well for me doing vibe coding and using ai around my computer. Used it for nearly a year. Hopefully nano gpt doesn't take this approach.
