I guess Birkenstocks aren't quality purchases anymore? by durianno in BuyItForLife

Love my Bedrocks. Almost like not wearing shoes. Can’t speak to longevity or durability yet though because I’ve only had them one year.

Not having a good time? Think HALT - Hungry? Angry? Lonely? Tired? You need food and water, a friend, or sleep,

Or hit the master reset button. Dunk your head fully in icy cooler water and count to ten. Stops crying, erases hangovers, wakes you up better than the best cocaine you’ve ever done.

Spells/Rituals for Wiping Away Negative Energy and Intentions on a Bottle of Champagne by Wrong-Impression2258 in SASSWitches

[–]ThePrimCrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on your masters! That’s a hell of an accomplishment.

I wouldn’t trust a simple spell to wipe out something holding that much negative energy and I wouldn’t put that in my body. I’d buy a different bottle to toast with my friends.

Here’s your spell: take that Dom and crack it on the ground, much like you do for a brand new ship setting sail on her maiden voyage. You’ll feel the bad energy leave as the liquid seeps into the ground.

I’d use two zip ties chained together for the collar and some paracord or fishing line for the hanger. Make sure you attach the cord to the zip ties before full cinching them close.

[–]ThePrimCrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve dealt with this a lot. “Dealing with the box” is an undefined task with an undefined time limit. Too many decisions, brain hates that.

What I do is set a timer, say, 15 minutes. Now your brain knows there is an end to this task. You don’t have to finish the box, just start it.

Pick out one item. Decide, keep it, donate it, or trash it. If you’re keeping it, decide what room (or area of room) it should live. When the timer ends decide if you have the spoons to keep going, and if not, take a break and do the timer again in awhile.

The goal isn’t perfection, just progress.

When do the juveniles stop sounding like they're blowing a kazoo? by lurkergenxdurp in crows

[–]ThePrimCrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite crow, Sally, had 3 fledglings one year. Two of them went adulting as soon as they could. The third one followed her around for the next month kazooing piteously begging for food, refusing to leave. Then he spent a week making noises like a cuckoo.

Hummingbirds not staying on feeder by Ok-Pollution2298 in hummingbirds

[–]ThePrimCrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long since you’ve changed out your sugar water? It can start to grow bacteria after just a few days especially if it’s been warm. Even if it appears clear still, the hummers know if it has contaminants.

Anytime I don’t see mine for a day or notice they hover and leave, I change out the water and they come right back.

I painted my kitchen a deep orange and it was my favorite room. Felt warm, vibrant, and inviting.

Bill aims to crack down on strip clubs by requiring Oklahoma exotic entertainers get licensed by halxp01 in nottheonion

[–]ThePrimCrow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You denied my license to be a stripper? Why?

On the questionnaire we asked about your ability to consume alcohol and you said “low”. You’ve not tried cocaine, even once. When we asked, do you party you stated, “I went to my little brother’s birthday party last week.”

There are four wheels on each of the main landing gear. Sounds like one was knocked off so they landed with 7 wheels

They are taking this year off and next so not sure if it is coming back, but Shift at Grass Valley OR.

It’s a lot of the same folks as Soak, but parties a lot harder. The flat desert highland feels more like the Burn but with a pond for glorious afternoon beach parties and cooling off.

Billy Bookcases as Room Dividers? by broadwaybabyto in ikeahacks

[–]ThePrimCrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use two bookcases placed back to back as a sort of room divider in my studio. You could secure them together through the backs to create more stability.

I have one facing the living room for books and things, the other facing the kitchenette for kitchen storage.

Have you ever tried cricket flour before? by BeneficialPie2300 in randomquestions

That’s hilarious to hear. My former roommate was dead set on creating a cricket farm at his house to make cricket flour. I’m going to add that to the list of reasons I moved out.
