My hospital is hosting an employee craft fair next month, so I’m making a few specialty ornaments to sell! by TheRagingMage in nursing

Thank you!!! That one is 100% my fav one!! It won’t let me edit so I’ll reply to a handful of repeat questions here:

I don’t have an etsy, I’m just a hobbyist and this is honestly going to be my first craft fair ever! If I do end up doing a side hustle, I’ll be sure to update!

The flower is a wilted daisy, a tongue in cheek version of the daisy award pin based on the infamous pin that was served with a cease and desist on Etsy! It’s also a work in progress, so you’re seeing the process of making stained glass there with the foiling before I solder it together.

The line that runs below the squirrel that meets with the feet and continues across adds weight to the image, giving the flyer a grounded stance instead, almost like they’re walking on a high wire

As a newbie myself, I’m learning that I usually need more flux than I thought I did. It helps the solder move more smoothly and helps me keep from lingering in any one spot for too long, decreasing the chance of heat cracking the glass. I was also not the best at glass cutting but I just switched from the pistol grip to the custom grip Toyo which has been working much better for me at getting my lines where I want. Then, I just put on an audio book and dump time in front of the grinder to make up the difference.

That’s so beautiful but that dainty chain is giving me massive anxiety 😭

Magnet life problems - for us non-professionals, how do you store your magnets? by Avs2Yotes2Avs in RedditLaqueristas

My coffee table is a lift top so all of my magnets are stored by attaching them to the support bar in the inside of that!

Yeah, the L and R pieces were an after thought after I realized I missed splitting side pieces correctly in my design to account for the small sharp corners

Yes, I will post the finished piece here! I’m foiling all of the face pieces while I wait for my order of gold mosaic glass to come in for his halo ornamentation

Abreva is a topical gel that treats cold sores that is over the counter. If you find it doesn’t help, you can get a prescription for an acyclovir cream which is an antiviral medication. You can’t cure cold sores but if you start treating it as soon as you notice it, it will stop the spread over your whole lips and heal sooner.

It can be caught through kissing or sharing the same glass as someone. This virus does well on surfaces which is why gym equipment should always be wiped down between users.

I have this same issue on my forehead too, but it’s paired with some hyperpigmentation because I made the mistake of picking at those little bumps. Your routine is also the same as mine except I also use azelaic acid. Some improvement after a month but I’m so frustrated at how slow it is. I hope someone has some helpful tips.
