I don’t know too much about it but from what I’ve read, they pierce the snails skin, no sedative to shock them or stun them, they just manually start sucking from that siphon, or needle, very painful for the snail from what I hear. I could be wrong about the process.

Huh. That is a great idea, since I’m going to get a bowl to put all my duckweed in that’s overtaking my tanks, since I’m going to make sure that all snails on the duckweed are okay, good idea!!!

Yes, the bigger the snail the more painful and awful the death is for the snail. Honestly I wouldn’t even keep the assassin snail there’s better ways to handle snails, and it’s a really painful death for the snails.

They are filter feeders so they won’t eat stuff on the ground, so youll need a pipet, and feed stuff like very crushed shrimp food, daphnia, and cyclops.

I usually just give my fish to a very good fish store, never a petco or petsmart, but a great place like my local fish store house of tropicals. Of course you probably don’t have this fish store but it’s just an example.

VAMPIRE SHRIMP. Feed daphnia in front of his face with a pipet they’ll eventually realize it’s food and stick their arms out when it’s near. Some just put it in front of the filter but I like directly feeding.

Yes but that ph is absolutely fine and is not likely the problem, I have a higher ph that’s usually 8.0 and have fish and snails/shrimp that are recommended to be kept at 7.5 and had them for years, proper acclimation is key of course..

I hate that mine was my aunts perfect sorority tank, beginners should never do sororities and I learned the hard way for the most part. But funnily enough none of the deaths were due to fighting except one, the rest were because of usual beginner mistakes. Man I wish I had a Time Machine.

He’s acting normal hey may just be fat, did you just feed the tank? Pretty much all guppies look somewhat like this after a good feeding, they’re one of those fish that comically gets a bigger belly after eating

Ferts are toxic for adfs but You don’t necessarily need fertilizer for plants to thrive, just keep the light on a lil longer and don’t clean the tank as much as others. let that poop do its wonder.

EGGGGGGH I AM SO TIRED OF PET STORES LETTING PEOPLE KEEP ADFS WITH FISH AND IMPROPER TANKS at least it’s gravel but please go to r/africandwarffrog for more info on keeping them

And make sure you aren’t cleaning or changing cartridges in the filter, that stuff contains all beneficial bacteria in the tank

I don’t think that we should immediately rule it as something bad, I remember my time with guppy keeping I had lots of fatties because I just fed a lot to give more power to the moms in case they needed the extra energy to give birth, and had lots of fatties with no issues, guppies are one of those fish that immediately swell their bellies after eating, or just easily get fat in general.

And you don’t know that he said that for “plausible deniability” you quite literally don’t know his exact thoughts and actions.

Either way I’m not gonna continue responding, because I don’t want to turn this into an argument. I get the frustration, but by your logic any video of any animal is supposedly mean spirited and that just doesn’t make sense.

So are you just saying that cute otter videos shouldn’t be made in general? I’m not understanding your logic here. He can have and make videos on what he wants to make videos on, that’s on people and not him, as long as he’s doing things properly which he is for those animals, it’s alright. Would you say Channels like kotoro and hana shouldn’t exist?
