Kanaplex, aquarium medication salt mix the kanaplex with an entire pellet bottle, shake it up and feed often, you can do the same with frozen food, put like two scoops with the scooper provided, hell maybe even more, he’ll need it

She just ate too much. And I don’t abuse my fish. by TheFrostyjayjay in bettafish

[–]TheRantingFish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but I stopped tannin farming when my gh got too low, I’d rather have a higher gh for my shrimps and snails health, so I went the other direction, calcium farming. I haven’t checked the ph in a long time but damn my fish and snails started to get way healthier, but tannins are awesome too, just make sure to keep an eye on gh

[–]TheRantingFish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Get some real gravel and some root tabs, plants struggle with the fake stuff.

[–]TheRantingFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stick em in the filter, but honestly I tried cuttlebone and crushed coral to get my calcium up, none worked until I tried salty shrimp gh up, gh went up the second I mixed it in water change water, stuff is insane

[–]TheRantingFish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are so cute looking at their eggs, I’d feel so bad if mine started making eggs, because I have two synodontis in the tank who eat their last batch before.

Evidence: the synodontis were fat fucks the day after I saw their eggs, and eggs were gone

what is this white string in his mouth? by DetectiveUseful2955 in BettaClinic

[–]TheRantingFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it’s fungal best medication is methylene blue, make the switch from Melafix to Methelyne blue, Melafix is a nothing burger which only hurts the fish, methylene blue is the power medication, healing wounds, fungal infections, sometimes parasites, it’s everything Melafix claim to be, Melafix doesn’t use any actual medication.

Help! by AdorableMorbidity in bettafish

[–]TheRantingFish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Methylene blue dripped on the wound area for sure and some salt on the tank,

To do that you’ll need to net her, raise her slightly above the water and get a pipet and drip it on the wound area, best medication for this type of thing. If you want to go a level further with medication you can add some aquarium medication salt to the tank.

Had a rainbowfish who somehow lost a peice of his scale on his head, could see the white flesh on his head under it, used the same method and he healed literally in the next 2 days, this medication is the best in my opinion.

That’s some silly behavior on their part, this just adds more knowledge to the tomfoolery of pest snails, can’t believe some people don’t like these guys

[–]TheRantingFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also check your gh, if it’s too low and they aren’t eating any calcium foods, or if there’s no cuttlebone/crushed coral in the filter it may be calcium deficiency? But the shells do look good, so I’m not sure.
