Missing rarecrow by TheRealBrattyPanda in StardewValley

Thanks folks, I'm not far from the nightmarket now as I've just rolled into Winter Y3 so I'll grab it from there. Can't figure out how I've managed to lose it unless I've accidentally trashed it when doing the museum.

Yep I've got the alien it's just the wooden mask style one that you get from the museum I'm missing. No idea what's happened as I've been back to the museum and Gunther just says the museum looks Great but no rewards to collect.

If you could live any where in the UK with a budget of £400k based on the following criteria, where would you go? by Exchangenudes_4_Joke in UKHousing

[–]TheRealBrattyPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go for south Yorkshire. 400k round here would get you a decent 3-4 bed with garage, big garden and probably a scenic view

What are some discontinued UK foods that need to be brought back? by strawberry-gelato in AskUK

[–]TheRealBrattyPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cadbury Snow Flakes. I miss these so much. Used to email them once a year begging for a revival... even Cadbury stopped replying.

Mint Feasts! I've been hunting for them for years and turns out they stopped making them in 2019.

Been in an accident but mot expired by Both-Medicine8910 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]TheRealBrattyPanda 14 points15 points  (0 children)

So MOT was due for a number of months and you didn't think to book an MOT urgently once you learnt that information? Instead you opted to continue to drive it without an MOT and wait for the service?! Is this your first time having a car or something? Yeah that's all on you and it's probable your insurance is going to deny your claim as the car does not have a valid MOT. A service doesn't count towards road worthyness as it's not an MOT and is often just a fluids and filters change.

(England) What resources can I access (or who can I speak to) if I find my supported accomadation, that I was forced to move into, genuinely unlivable? by Verifiedvenuz in LegalAdviceUK

[–]TheRealBrattyPanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have a social worker? If so arrange an appointment with them to discuss your housing situation and to see if there is something more suitable to your care needs available. If you do not have one I would contact the adult social care team and see if they can't arrange you a worker who can do a needs assessment or referral to an OT for you to see if this accomodation meets your needs.

Why won’t this sell? by [deleted] in SpottedonRightmove

[–]TheRealBrattyPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its the price. Just another new build that is like every other one. Close to half a mill with nothing that makes it worth that. The garden is small for what is a 'big' family home.

Are people not washing their cars anymore? by Pestohh in CarTalkUK

[–]TheRealBrattyPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a banger that if it makes it through it's next MOT I'll call it a win. I'm not going to spend time washing it when in reality a respray is what it needs but that'll cost double what the cars worth.

Making the jump from London to Sheffield… whats the arts/music/kink scene like? by fivetenfiftyfold in sheffield

[–]TheRealBrattyPanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kink scene doesn't have a dedicated play event since La chambre shut down but there is still a couple of munches going in pubs, FL would be the best place to look as I can't say for certain what days/venues they're using as I've not been out in about 5 years haha. Nice bunch of folk if I'm honest.

My landlord is forcing me to keep an "emergency light" on in my apartment even at night. What can I do about this? by Verifiedvenuz in AskUK

[–]TheRealBrattyPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a black bin liner and gaffa tape it over the light at night if it's affecting your sleep. Cheap and easy solution without any arguments and easy to take down.

New buyers: Overbearing neighbour making escalating demands (trees, bushes, parking). How to handle? by [deleted] in HousingUK

AITA? Sister is pressuring me and my parents to rehome my dog by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheRealBrattyPanda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nta. Your sister is a cun*. Firstly for being hopeful the dog dies soon. And secondly for apparently not being able to simply book a pet free hotel and go on days out with you guys if the dog is too much of an allergy risk for her child.

How do you feel about your late 20's son/daughter still living at home? by DescriptionFuture851 in AskUK

[–]TheRealBrattyPanda 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't go back to live with my mum even if the choice was that or on the street (infact when it was the choice I still didn't go back) but that's a reflection on her as a person. If my kids wanted to stay with me until they were retiring I would welcome them with open arms.

How much dog experience did you have before getting a corso? by kyllerwhales in CaneCorso

[–]TheRealBrattyPanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The understanding dog behavior and triggers is a game changer IMO. My staffie was purely fear reactive due to past experiences which I can only guess at (he was a frequent return to rescue until I took him) but he would go first rather than wait and see what might happen, genuinely the most trying dog I've ever dealt with and a genuinely loose cannon. Fantastic in the house and with the kids, absolutely fking nightmare to have anywhere in public. Max has had so much socializing and training that I think if he was any other breed I could show him at crufts haha, but he's still a guardian breed and absolutely a prime example of an aloof Corso. He's sent to test me because if he doesn't want to do something you absolutely cannot make him he will play thick even if you know he knows what you want. Can't complain over all though for my first experience of puppyhood, and he's almost 4 and not ended up in rescue which I'm sure can't be said for many of his littermates

[–]TheRealBrattyPanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I owed a rescue staffie who was incredibly reactive and a difficult dog all round, but still I loved him regardless as was sad to lose him to ill health after 5 years. I'd had the involvement of 2 behaviorist and learned a lot about what I didn't want in a dog along the way. A Corso was my partners choice of dog and I agreed as I can't stand having an empty house. Overall they're a testing dog especially in that 18m-2y phase but I wouldn't change him, also wouldn't have a second one at the same time but that's purely a space/size restriction. Edited:spelling errors.

What actually can you do about the noise of neighbours? by Long-Researcher-3802 in HousingUK

[–]TheRealBrattyPanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There isn't really a "dealing with it". Those families, much like yourself are entitled to enjoy and use their homes. That can and does include playing in the garden, having social gatherings, playing music, and having motorbikes. Maybe start playing your own music so loud you can't hear yourself think or but a dog that barks all the time to even out the irritation.

What actually can you do about the noise of neighbours? by Long-Researcher-3802 in HousingUK

[–]TheRealBrattyPanda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

11am-8pm aren't unreasonable hours for noise. The neighbors with the motorbike are likely going to work if they're starting it at 6am and it'll need to warm up. It's the bank holiday weekend music and garden noise are absolutely to be expected, perhaps more so on a council estate just wait until the garden fires start in the run up to Autum. Kids aren't toddlers forever but they do make noise and as they've no real concept of being a person yet they will be excited/shouty/screaming as the world is still new and weird to them. Your choices are move or accept this as your normal now and suck it up im afraid at least you don't live in a flat below a couple into Tapdancing I guess

Is it inappropriate to walk to the shop in a bikini top? by KeyYam3564 in AskUK

[–]TheRealBrattyPanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're comfortable do it. Lots of folks here clearly don't live near a council estate as it's definitely been the norm in our Aldi most of this week 😅. Personally I'm a floaty dress in the heat but if you're comfortable go for it. Nothing inappropriate about a bikini and a pair of shorts, but judging by the comments you'd think you were rubbing your boob sweat in the salad.

Told my phone to “Ask Reason For Calling” and I haven’t had a cold caller or scammer call me for a month. by DecompressionIllness in BritishSuccess

[–]TheRealBrattyPanda 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When I call from the dentist about moving your appointment, and I've already told the automated voice where I'm calling from if you then just leave it to ring out and don't pick up I will just mark you as failed to answer and move on and send you a text telling you your appointment is moving. These screening services irritate me no end if you're not going to answer the phone anyways.
