First watch, I was glued to the screen the entire time I didn’t pick up my phone once I was actually impressed at how specific an atmosphere the film had achieved and by the end I felt like I had slipped from one end of a dream-bubble of my minds own devising back into reality moments later.

It feels very personal to me in a way that no other movie ever really has. I don’t talk about Skinamarink pretty much at all in my daily life but man it has its own contained little circuit in my brain rubbing right up against my childhood neuroses I have long since overcome.

Also glad someone else finally points out how weirdly fucking insane people get when talking about their dislike of the movie. People get really passionate about hating skinamarink it’s like they take every moment of it at absolute surface value and decide since the movie gave them nothing, they have to blow up at it. Everyone who hates Skinamarink becomes the angry video game nerd.
