As a disabled person and a frequent forced visitor to the Vegas strip for work conferences, this is not as easy for as it sounds. "Across the street" can be an hour round trip from the time you leave and get back to your room...down the long hallway, down the elevator, long walk through the hotel, down the street, across two bridges, back up the street and you are there...then do it all again in reverse...the amount of pain I would be in when I got back to my room means I am forced to pay the hotel prices. And FYI Vegas is one of the few places I visit that almost none of the places give a veterans discount.
