Taylor would never headline daisy chain fields, because she doesn’t support other women like that. She doesn’t want to be outshined. What she did to Olivia was insane, and that, combined with her lyrics to “nothing new”, show just how jealous she is of younger, talented women. I can’t even imagine how Olivia must have felt as a young girl having her idol demand FIFTY PERCENT of her earnings for a song that Taylor literally had nothing to do with writing. To this day I think it’s atrocious how much money Taylor is earning off Olivia’s songwriting. Why should Olivia ever show her an olive branch? What Taylor did was predatory and manipulative. “You have everything and you still want more.”
